Elohim of vengeance, יהוה, Elohim of vengeance, has shone forth.

Rise up, Judge of the earth; give recompense to the proud.

How long, יהוה, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked exult?

They pour out, they speak arrogance; all workers of iniquity boast.

They crush your people, יהוה, and afflict your inheritance.

Widow and sojourner they kill, and orphans they murder.

And they say, Ya-h will not see, and the Elohim of Ya'aqov will not understand.

Understand, you brutish ones among the people; and fools, when will you become wise?

Does the one who planted the ear not hear? Does the one who formed the eye not see?

Does the one who disciplines nations not reprimand? The one who teaches man knowledge?

יהוה knows the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

Blessed is the man whom you discipline, Ya-h, and whom you teach from your Torah.

To give him rest from days of evil, until a pit is dug for the wicked.

For יהוה will not forsake his people, and his inheritance he will not abandon.

For judgment will return to righteousness, and after it all the upright in heart.

Who will stand up for me against the wicked? Who will take a stand for me against the workers of iniquity?

If יהוה were not my help, my soul would have quickly settled in silence.

If I said, 'My foot is slipping,' your steadfast love, יהוה, upholds me.

In the abundance of my anxious thoughts within me, your comforts delight my soul.

Will the seat of wickedness form alliances with you, shaping trouble by decree?

They conspire against the life of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.

But יהוה has become my stronghold, and my Elohim the rock of my refuge.

And he will repay them their iniquity, and by their wickedness he will cut them off; יהוה our Elohim will cut them off.
