Dwelling in the secret place of the Most High, in the shadow of Shaddai, one will abide.

I will say of יהוה, 'My refuge and my fortress, my Elohim, in Him I will trust.'

For He will deliver you from the fowler's snare, from the destructive plague.

With His feathers He will cover you, and under His wings you will take refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

nor the plague that walks in darkness, nor the destruction that devastates at noon.

A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; it will not come near you.

Only with your eyes you will look, and the recompense of the wicked you will see.

Because you, יהוה, are my refuge, you have made the Most High your dwelling place.

No evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near your tent.

For He will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.

On their hands they will carry you, lest you strike your foot against a stone.

On the lion and cobra you will tread; you will trample the young lion and the serpent.

Because he has set his affection on Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him high because he knows My name.

He will call on Me, and I will answer him; I am with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.

With long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.
