The loyal love of יהוה I will sing forever; to generation and generation I will make known your faithfulness with my mouth.

For you said, 'Forever loyal love will be built; in the heavens you established your faithfulness.'

I made a covenant with my chosen one; I swore to David my servant.

'Forever I will establish your offspring, and build to generation and generation your throne.' Selah.

And the heavens will declare your wonders, יהוה, also your faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones.

For who in the skies can compare to יהוה? Who is like יהוה among the sons of the mighty ones?

Elohim is feared in the council of the holy ones, and is great and awesome above all who surround him.

יהוה, Elohim of hosts, who is like you? You are mighty, Yah, and your faithfulness is around you.

You rule the pride of the sea; when its waves rise, you calm them.

You crushed Rahab like a corpse; with your arm of strength you scattered your enemies.

Yours are the heavens, and yours is the earth; the world and its fullness, you founded them.

North and south you created them; Tabor and Hermon will rejoice in your name.

Yours is an arm with power; your hand is strong, your right hand is raised.

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; loyal love and faithfulness go before your face.

Blessed is the people who know the joyful shout; יהוה, in the light of your face they will walk.

In your name they will rejoice all day, and in your righteousness they will be exalted.

For you are the glory of their strength, and by your favor you will lift up our horn.

For to יהוה is our shield, and to the Holy One of Yisra'el is our king.

Then you spoke in a vision to your faithful ones and said, 'I have placed help on a mighty one; I have raised up a chosen one from the people.'

'I have found David my servant; with my holy oil I have anointed him.'

'My hand will be firm with him, and my arm will strengthen him.'

'The enemy will not deceive him, and the son of wickedness will not oppress him.'

'I will crush his adversaries before him, and I will strike his haters.'

'And my faithfulness and my loyal love will be with him, and in my name his horn will be raised.'

'I will set his hand on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers.'

'He will call to me, 'You are my father, my Elohim, and the rock of my salvation.''

'I also will make him the firstborn, the most high above the kings of the earth.'

'Forever I will keep my loyal love for him, and my covenant will be faithful to him.'

'I will set his offspring forever, and his throne like the days of the heavens.'

'If his sons forsake my law, and do not walk in my judgments.'

'If they profane my statutes, and do not keep my commandments.'

'Then I will visit their transgression with a rod, and their iniquity with stripes.'

'But my loyal love I will not withdraw from him, nor will I lie concerning my faithfulness.'

'I will not profane my covenant, nor will I change what has gone out of my lips.'

'Once I have sworn by my holiness, surely to David I will not lie.'

'His offspring will be forever, and his throne like the sun before me.'

'It will be established forever like the moon, a faithful witness in the skies.' Selah.

'But you have rejected and despised; you have become angry with your anointed one.'

'You have nullified the covenant of your servant; you have profaned his diadem to the ground.'

You have broken down all his walls; you have made his fortresses a ruin.

All who pass by the way have plundered him; he has become a reproach to his neighbors.

You have exalted the right hand of his adversaries; you have made all his enemies rejoice.

You have also turned back the edge of his sword, and you have not made him stand in battle.

You have ended his splendor, and have thrown his throne to the ground.

You have shortened the days of his youth; you have covered him with shame. Selah.

How long, יהוה, will you hide yourself forever? Will your wrath burn like fire?

Remember how short my time is; for what vanity have you created all the sons of Adam?

Who is the mortal man who will live and not see death? Who will deliver his soul from the hand of Sheol? Selah.

Where are your former loyal loves, Adonai? You swore to David by your faithfulness.

Remember, Adonai, the reproach of your servants; I have carried in my bosom all the multitude of the peoples.

With which your enemies have reproached, יהוה, with which they have reproached the footsteps of your anointed one.
