יהוה, Elohim of my salvation, I cried out by day, by night before You.

Let my prayer come before You; incline Your ear to my cry.

For my soul is full of troubles, and my life has reached Sheol.

I am counted with those who go down to the pit; I am like a man without strength.

I am left among the dead, like the slain who lie in the grave, whom You do not remember anymore, and they are cut off from Your hand.

You have put me in the lowest pit, in dark places, in the depths.

Your wrath lies on me, and You have afflicted me with all Your waves. Selah.

You have removed my acquaintances far from me; You have made me an object of disgust to them. I am shut up and cannot go out.

My eye is worn out from affliction; I call to You, יהוה, every day; I spread my hands to You.

Will You perform wonders for the dead? Will the Rephaim rise up and praise You? Selah.

Will Your steadfast love be declared in the grave, Your faithfulness in destruction?

Will Your wonders be known in the darkness, or Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

But I, יהוה, cry out to You; in the morning my prayer comes to You.

Why, יהוה, do You reject my soul? Why do You hide Your face from me?

I am afflicted and near death from my youth; I have borne Your terrors and am beside myself.

Your burning anger has passed over me; Your terrors have destroyed me.

They surround me like water all day long; they encompass me all at once.

You have removed from me my loved ones and friends; my acquaintances are darkness.
