A song for the overseer, for Yedidun. A psalm of Asaph.

My voice to Elohim, and I cry out; my voice to Elohim, and He listens to me.

In a day of my distress, Adonai I sought; my hand in the night poured out and did not cease; my soul refused to be comforted.

I remembered Elohim and I groaned; I meditated and my spirit grew faint. Selah.

You held fast the watchmen of my eyes; I was disturbed and could not speak.

I considered days from of old, years of the ages.

I remembered my music in the night; with my heart I meditated, and my spirit searched.

Will Adonai reject forever? And will He not add to favor again?

Has His kindness ceased forever? Has He finished His word from generation to generation?

Has Elohim forgotten to be gracious? Or has He shut in anger His compassions? Selah.

And I said, 'This is my weakness: the years of the right hand of the Most High.'

I will remember the deeds of יהוה; surely I will remember Your wonders from of old.

I will meditate on all Your work, and on Your mighty deeds I will ponder.

Your way, O Elohim, is in holiness; who is an el great like Elohim?

You are the el who does wonders; You have made known Your strength among the peoples.

You redeemed with Your arm Your people, the sons of Ya'aqov and Yosef. Selah.

The waters saw You, O Elohim; the waters saw You; they were in anguish; the depths also trembled.

The clouds poured out water; the skies gave forth a voice; Your arrows also went here and there.

The voice of Your thunder was in the whirlwind; the lightnings illuminated the world; the earth trembled and shook.

Your way was in the sea, and Your path in the great waters, and Your footprints were not known.

You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Mosheh and Aharon.
