When Nathan the prophet came to him, after he came to Bathsheba.

Be gracious to me, Elohim, according to Your kindness; according to the abundance of Your compassions, blot out my transgressions.

Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

For I know my transgressions, and my sin is before me always.

Against You, You alone, I have sinned, and done evil in Your sight, so that You may be righteous in Your words, and be pure in Your judgment.

Behold, in iniquity I was formed, and in sin my mother conceived me.

Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts; in the hidden place, You make wisdom known to me.

Sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

Make me hear joy and gladness; the bones You have crushed will rejoice.

Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.

Create in me a clean heart, O Elohim, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.

Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners will return to You.

Deliver me from bloodshed, O Elohim, Elohim of my salvation; my tongue will sing aloud of Your righteousness.

O Adonai, open my lips, and my mouth will declare Your praise.

For You do not desire sacrifice, or I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offerings.

The sacrifices of Elohim are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O Elohim, You will not despise.

Do good in Your good pleasure to Tsiyon; build the walls of Yerushalayim.

Then You will delight in righteous sacrifices, burnt offerings, and whole offerings; then bulls will be offered on Your altar.
