A psalm of Asaph. Elohim, יהוה, has spoken and called the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.

From Tsiyon, perfection of beauty, Elohim has shone forth.

Our Elohim comes and does not keep silent; fire devours before Him, and around Him it storms greatly.

He calls to the heavens above and to the earth to judge His people.

Gather to Me My devoted ones, those who made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.

And the heavens declare His righteousness, for Elohim is the judge. Selah.

Hear, My people, and I will speak; Yisra'el, and I will testify against you. I am Elohim, your Elohim.

I will not rebuke you for your sacrifices, and your burnt offerings are continually before Me.

I will not take a bull from your house, nor he-goats from your folds.

For every wild animal of the forest is Mine, the beasts on a thousand hills.

I know every bird of the mountains, and the creatures of the field are with Me.

If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and its fullness are Mine.

Would I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of he-goats?

Offer to Elohim a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High.

And call on Me in the day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you shall honor Me.

But to the wicked, Elohim says, 'What right do you have to declare My statutes, and that you should take My covenant on your lips?'

You hate instruction and cast My words behind you.

If you see a thief, you consent with him, and your portion is with adulterers.

You let your mouth loose for evil, and your tongue crafts deceit.

You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your mother's son.

These things you have done, and I kept silent; you thought that I was altogether like you. I will rebuke you and set the charges before your eyes.

Now consider this, you who forget Elohim, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be no one to deliver.

Whoever offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me; and to him who orders his way, I will show the salvation of Elohim.
