A prayer of David. Hear, יהוה, righteousness; attend to my cry; give ear to my prayer, from lips of deceit.

From before you, my judgment goes forth; your eyes see straight things.

You tested my heart; you visited by night; you refined me; you found nothing; my plan does not pass my mouth.

For deeds of man, by the word of your lips, I have kept paths of the violent.

Support my steps in your paths; my feet do not slip.

I called you, for you will answer me, O Elohim; incline your ear to me; hear my word.

Distinguish your kindnesses, O Savior of those taking refuge, from those rising against me with your right hand.

Keep me as the pupil of the eye; in the shadow of your wings, you will hide me.

From the face of the wicked who oppress me, my enemies in soul surround me.

Their fatness, they closed their mouths; they spoke with pride.

Our steps now, they have surrounded us; their eyes set to incline on the earth.

He is like a lion, he longs to tear, and like a lion cub, dwelling in hidden places.

Rise, יהוה; confront his face; bring him down; deliver my soul from the wicked, your sword.

From men, your hand, יהוה, from men of the world; their portion is in life, and your hidden things fill their belly; they are satisfied with sons, and leave their surplus to their children.

I, in righteousness, will see your face; I will be satisfied when I awake with your image.
