Deliver me, יהוה, from an evil person; from a man of violence, keep me safe.

Who devise evils in heart, all day they stir up wars.

They sharpen their tongue like a serpent; venom of a cobra is under their lips. Selah.

Keep me safe, יהוה, from the hand of the wicked; from a man of violence, keep me safe. They devise to push over my steps.

The arrogant have hidden a trap for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the side of the path; snares they have set for me. Selah.

I said to Adonai, 'You are my Elohim; give ear, יהוה, to the voice of my supplications.'

Adonai, my Adonai, strength of my salvation, you have shielded my head on the day of battle.

Do not grant, יהוה, the desires of the wicked; do not fulfill their schemes, lest they be exalted. Selah.

The head of those who surround me, the trouble of their lips, will cover them.

Coals will fall on them; in fire he will cast them down into deep pits; they will not rise.

A man of slander will not be established in the land; a man of violence, evil will hunt him to overthrow.

I know that יהוה will do justice for the afflicted, judgment for the poor.

Surely the righteous will give thanks to your name; the upright will dwell in your presence.
