יהוה, you have searched me and known.

You know my sitting and my rising; you understand my thought from afar.

You sift my path and my lying down, and you are acquainted with all my ways.

For there is not a word on my tongue; behold, יהוה, you know all of it.

Behind and before you have hemmed me in, and you have placed your palm upon me.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain it.

Where shall I go from your spirit? And where shall I flee from your presence?

If I ascend to the heavens, you are there; and if I make Sheol my bed, behold, you are there.

If I take the wings of the dawn, and dwell in the farthest part of the sea,

Even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.

And I say, Surely darkness shall crush me, and light around me is night.

Even darkness does not hide from you, but night shines like the day; darkness is like the light.

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb.

I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are your works, and my soul knows it well.

My frame was not hidden from you, which was made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in your book all of them were written, the days that were formed, and not one of them.

And to me, how precious are your thoughts, O Elohim! How vast is their sum!

If I would count them, they are more in number than the sand; I awake, and I am still with you.

If you would slay the wicked, O Elohim, and men of bloodshed, turn away from me.

For they speak against you wickedly; your enemies take your name in vain.

Shall I not hate those who hate you, יהוה? And shall I not be indignant with those who rise up against you?

With utter hatred I hate them; they have become my enemies.

Search me, O Elohim, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.

And see if there is any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the way of eternity.
