To the choirmaster, a psalm of David. O Elohim of my praise, do not remain silent.

For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me they have opened; they have spoken with me with a tongue of falsehood.

And words of hatred they have surrounded me, and they have fought against me without cause.

In place of my love they hate me, and I am prayer.

And they have set evil against me in place of good, and hatred in place of my love.

Appoint over him a wicked one, and let a satan stand at his right hand.

When he is judged, let the wicked one go out, and let his prayer become sin.

Let his days be few; let another take his office.

Let his children be orphans, and his wife a widow.

And let his children wander and beg, and let them seek from their ruins.

Let a creditor seize all that belongs to him, and let strangers plunder his labor.

Let there be no one to show him kindness, and let there be no one to favor his orphans.

Let his posterity be cut off; in a generation after, let their name be blotted out.

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before יהוה, and let the sin of his mother not be blotted out.

Let them be before יהוה continually, and let him cut off their memory from the earth.

Because he did not remember to show kindness, but pursued the poor, the needy, and the brokenhearted to kill them.

And he loved cursing, and let it come to him; and he did not desire blessing, and let it be far from him.

And he wore cursing like his garment, and let it come like water into his body, and like oil into his bones.

Let it be like a robe he wears, and like a belt he always wears.

This is the reward of my enemies from יהוה, and of those who speak evil against my life.

But you, Adonai יהוה, deal with me for your name's sake; because your kindness is good, deliver me.

For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

Like a shadow when it lengthens, I am gone; I am shaken off like a locust.

My knees are weak from fasting, and my flesh has become thin from lack of fat.

And I have become a reproach to them; they see me, they shake their heads.

Help me, יהוה Elohai; save me according to your kindness.

And let them know that this is your hand; you, יהוה, have done it.

Let them curse, but you will bless; they have risen and been put to shame, but your servant will rejoice.

Let my enemies wear shame, and let them put on disgrace like a cloak.

I will give great thanks to יהוה with my mouth, and in the midst of many I will praise him.

For he will stand at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who judge his life.
