And יהוה spoke to Aharon, 'You and your sons and your father's house with you shall bear the guilt of the sanctuary, and you and your sons with you shall bear the guilt of your priesthood.

And also your brothers, the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father, bring them near with you, and they shall join you and serve you, and you and your sons with you shall be before the tent of meeting.

And they shall keep your charge and the charge of the whole tent; only they shall not come near to the holy vessels and to the altar, lest they die, both they and you.

And they shall join you and keep the charge of the tent of meeting for all the service of the tent, and no outsider shall come near to you.

And you shall keep the charge of the sanctuary and the charge of the altar, and there shall be no more wrath on the children of Yisra'el.

And behold, I have taken your brothers the Levites from among the children of Yisra'el as a gift to you, given to יהוה, to serve the service of the tent of meeting.

And you and your sons with you shall keep your priesthood for all matters of the altar and within the veil; and you shall serve a service of gift. I give your priesthood, and the outsider who comes near shall die.

And יהוה spoke to Aharon, 'Behold, I have given you the charge of My offerings, all the holy things of the children of Yisra'el; to you I have given them for an anointing and to your sons as a statute forever.

This shall be yours from the most holy things of the offerings by fire; all their offering, all their grain offering, and all their sin offering, and all their guilt offering, which they shall restore to Me, shall be most holy to you and to your sons.

In the most holy place you shall eat it; every male shall eat it; it shall be most holy to you.

And this shall be yours, the offering of their gift, all the wave offerings of the children of Yisra'el; to you I have given them, and to your sons and to your daughters with you, as a statute forever. Everyone clean in your house shall eat it.

All the best of the oil, and all the best of the new wine, and of the grain, their firstfruits which they give to יהוה, to you I have given them.

The first ripe fruits of all that is in their land, which they shall bring to יהוה, shall be yours. Everyone clean in your house shall eat it.

Everything devoted in Yisra'el shall be yours.

Everything that opens the womb of all flesh, which they offer to יהוה, whether man or beast, shall be yours. However, you shall surely redeem the firstborn of man, and you shall redeem the firstborn of unclean beasts.

And their redemption price, from a month old, you shall redeem them, according to your valuation, five shekels of silver, by the shekel of the sanctuary; it is twenty gerahs.

Only the firstborn of a cow, or the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstborn of a goat, you shall not redeem; they are holy. You shall sprinkle their blood on the altar, and you shall burn their fat as an offering by fire, a pleasing aroma to יהוה.

And their meat shall be yours, like the breast of the wave offering and like the right thigh, it shall be yours.

All the offerings of the holy things, which the children of Yisra'el offer to יהוה, I have given to you, and to your sons and to your daughters with you, as a statute forever; it is a covenant of salt forever before יהוה to you and to your offspring with you.

And יהוה said to Aharon, 'In their land you shall have no inheritance, and you shall have no portion among them; I am your portion and your inheritance among the children of Yisra'el.

And to the sons of Levi, behold, I have given all the tithe in Yisra'el as an inheritance in return for their service which they serve, the service of the tent of meeting.

And the children of Yisra'el shall no longer come near the tent of meeting, to bear sin and die.

But the Levite himself shall serve the service of the tent of meeting, and they shall bear their guilt, a statute forever for your generations, and among the children of Yisra'el they shall not inherit an inheritance.

For the tithe of the children of Yisra'el, which they lift as an offering to יהוה, I have given to the Levites as an inheritance; therefore I said to them, 'Among the children of Yisra'el they shall have no inheritance.'

And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying:

And to the Levites you shall speak and say to them, 'When you take from the children of Yisra'el the tithe which I have given you from them as your inheritance, then you shall lift a heave offering of יהוה from it, a tithe of the tithe.

And it shall be credited to you as your heave offering, like the grain from the threshing floor and like the fullness from the winepress.

So you also shall lift a heave offering of יהוה from all your tithes, which you take from the children of Yisra'el, and you shall give from it the heave offering of יהוה to Aharon the priest.

From all your gifts you shall lift all the heave offering of יהוה, from all its best part, its consecrated part, from it.

And you shall say to them, 'When you lift its best part from it, then it shall be credited to the Levites as the produce of the threshing floor and as the produce of the winepress.

And you may eat it in any place, you and your households, for it is your payment in return for your service in the tent of meeting.

And you shall not bear sin because of it, when you lift its best part from it, and you shall not profane the holy things of the children of Yisra'el, and you shall not die.'
