And Eliashib the high priest rose up, and his brothers the priests, and they built the Sheep Gate. They consecrated it and set up its doors. They consecrated it up to the Tower of the Hundred, up to the Tower of Hananel.

And next to him the men of Yeriḥo built, and next to him Zakkur son of Imri built.

And the sons of Hassena'ah built the Fish Gate. They paneled it and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars.

And next to them Meremoth son of Uriyah son of Hakkoṣ repaired. And next to them Meshullam son of Berekhiyah son of Meshizabel repaired. And next to them Tsaḏoq son of Ba'ana repaired.

And next to them the Teko'ites repaired, but their nobles did not put their necks to the work of their Adonai.

And the Old Gate Yeshua son of Paséaḥ and Meshullam son of Besodyah repaired. They paneled it and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars.

And next to them Melatyah the Giv'onite and Yadon the Meronothite repaired, the men of Giv'on and of Miṣpah, for the seat of the governor of the River.

Next to him 'Uzi'el son of Ḥarḥayah, the goldsmiths, repaired. And next to him Ḥananyah son of the perfumers repaired. And they fortified Yerushalayim up to the Broad Wall.

And next to him Refayah son of Ḥur, ruler of half the district of Yerushalayim, repaired.

And next to him Yeda'yah son of Ḥarumaph repaired, opposite his house. And next to him Ḥattush son of Ḥashabneyah repaired.

Malkiiah son of Ḥarim and Ḥashshub son of Paḥath-Mo'ab repaired the second section, and the Tower of the Ovens.

And next to him Shallum son of Hallochesh, ruler of half the district of Yerushalayim, repaired, he and his daughters.

The Valley Gate Ḥanun and the inhabitants of Zanoaḥ built. They paneled it and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and a thousand cubits of the wall, up to the Dung Gate.

And the Dung Gate Malkiiah son of Rekhab, ruler of the district of Beth-haKerem, repaired. He built it and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars.

And the Spring Gate Shallun son of Kol-Ḥozeh, ruler of the district of Miṣpah, repaired. He built it and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and the wall of the Pool of the Shelah, by the King's Garden, and up to the stairs that go down from the City of David.

After him Nehemyah son of 'Azbuk, ruler of half the district of Beth-ṣur, repaired, up to opposite the tombs of David, and up to the reservoir, and up to the House of the Mighty.

After him the Levites repaired, Reḥum son of Bani. Next to him Ḥashabyah, ruler of half the district of Ke'ilah, repaired for his district.

After him their brothers, Binnui son of Ḥenadad, ruler of half the district of Ke'ilah, repaired.

And 'Ezer son of Yeshu'a, ruler of Miṣpah, repaired the second section, from opposite the Armory to the buttress.

After him Baruk son of Zakkai zealously repaired the second section, from the entrance of the house of Eliashib the high priest to the end of Eliashib's house.

After him Meremoth son of Uriyah son of Hakkoṣ repaired the second section, from the entrance of Eliashib's house to the end of Eliashib's house.

And after him the priests, the men of the plain, repaired.

After him Binyamin and Ḥashshub repaired opposite their house. After him 'Azaryah son of Ma'aseyah son of 'Ananyah repaired next to his house.

After him Binnui son of Ḥenadad repaired the second section, from the house of 'Azaryah to the buttress and to the corner.

Palal son of 'Uzi, opposite the buttress and the tower that projects from the upper house of the king, which is by the courtyard of the guard. After him Pedaiah son of Par'osh.

And the Nethinim were dwelling in the Ophel, up to opposite the Water Gate facing east, and the projecting tower.

After them the Teko'ites repaired the second section, from opposite the great projecting tower and up to the wall of the Ophel.

Above the Horse Gate the priests repaired, each one opposite his house.

After him Tsaḏoq son of 'Immer repaired opposite his house. And after him Shema'yah son of Shekhanyah, the gatekeeper of the East Gate, repaired.

After him Ḥananyah son of Shelemyah and Ḥanun the sixth son of Zalaph repaired the second section. After him Meshullam son of Berekhiyah repaired opposite his chamber.

After him Malkiiah son of the goldsmith repaired up to the house of the Nethinim and the merchants, opposite the Gate of the Muster and up to the ascent of the corner.

And between the ascent of the corner and the Sheep Gate the goldsmiths and the merchants repaired.

And it happened when Sanballat heard that we were building the wall, he became angry and was very furious, and he mocked the Yehudim.

And he said before his brothers and the army of Shomron, 'What are these feeble Yehudim doing? Will they abandon them? Will they sacrifice? Will they finish in a day? Will they revive stones from heaps of dust, which are burned?'

And Tobiah the Ammonite was beside him, and he said, 'Even what they are building—if a fox goes up on it, he will break down their stone wall.'

Hear, our Elohim, for we are despised, and turn their reproach back on their heads, and give them for plunder in the land of captivity.

And do not cover their iniquity, and do not let their sin be blotted out from before you, because they provoked you before the builders.

And we built the wall, and the entire wall was joined up to half of it, and the people had heart to work.
