And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, Speak to the priests, sons of Aharon, and say to them, No one shall be defiled for the dead among his people.

Only for his closest relative to him, for his mother and for his father and for his son and for his daughter and for his brother.

And for his sister, the virgin, who is close to him, who has not been a wife to him, he shall not be defiled.

He shall not be defiled, a leader among his people, to profane himself.

They shall not shave their heads, nor shall they shave the edge of their beards, nor shall they make cuttings in their flesh.

They shall be holy to their Elohim, and they shall not profane the name of their Elohim, for they offer the offerings of יהוה, the bread of their Elohim, and they shall be holy.

A woman who is a prostitute and profaned, they shall not take, and a woman divorced from her husband they shall not take, for he is holy to his Elohim.

And you shall sanctify him, for he offers the bread of your Elohim; he shall be holy to you, for I, יהוה, who sanctify you, am holy.

And the daughter of a priest, when she profanes herself by acting as a prostitute, she profanes her father; she shall be burned with fire.

And the high priest among his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil was poured, and who was consecrated to wear the garments, he shall not let his hair go loose, nor shall he tear his garments.

And for any dead person he shall not go in; for his father and for his mother he shall not be defiled.

And from the sanctuary he shall not go out, and he shall not profane the sanctuary of his Elohim, for the consecration oil of his Elohim is on him; I am יהוה.

And he shall take a wife in her virginity.

A widow, or a divorced woman, or a profaned woman, a prostitute, these he shall not take; but a virgin from his people he shall take as a wife.

And he shall not profane his offspring among his people, for I am יהוה who sanctifies him.

And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,

Speak to Aharon, saying, No man of your offspring throughout their generations who has a blemish shall approach to offer the bread of his Elohim.

For no man who has a blemish shall approach; a blind man, or a lame man, or one with a disfigured face, or one with a limb too long.

Or a man who has a broken foot, or a broken hand.

Or a hunchback, or a dwarf, or one with a defect in his eye, or a scabby person, or an itchy person, or one with crushed testicles.

No man of the offspring of Aharon the priest who has a blemish shall approach to offer the offerings of יהוה; he has a blemish, he shall not approach to offer the bread of his Elohim.

The bread of his Elohim, from the most holy things and from the holy things, he shall eat.

Only he shall not go near the veil, nor shall he approach the altar, for he has a blemish, and he shall not profane my sanctuaries, for I am יהוה who sanctifies them.

And Mosheh spoke to Aharon and to his sons and to all the people of Yisra'el.
