And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying:

Speak to Aharon, and to his sons, and to all the sons of Yisra'el, and say to them, 'This is the thing which יהוה commanded, saying:'

'Any man from the house of Yisra'el who slaughters an ox, or a lamb, or a goat in the camp, or who slaughters outside the camp,'

'And to the entrance of the tent of meeting he did not bring it, to offer a sacrifice to יהוה, before the tabernacle of יהוה; blood will be counted to that man; he shed blood, and that man will be cut off from among his people.'

'So that the sons of Yisra'el may bring their sacrifices which they are sacrificing on the face of the field, and bring them to יהוה, to the entrance of the tent of meeting, to the priest, and they will sacrifice peace offerings to יהוה, them.'

'And the priest will sprinkle the blood on the altar of יהוה, the entrance of the tent of meeting, and will burn the fat for a pleasing aroma to יהוה.'

'And they will no longer sacrifice their sacrifices to the he-goats after which they prostitute themselves; this will be a statute forever for them, for their generations.'

'And to them you will say, Any man from the house of Yisra'el, and from the sojourner who sojourns among them, who offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice,'

'And to the entrance of the tent of meeting he will not bring it, to do it for יהוה, and that man will be cut off from his people.'

'And any man from the house of Yisra'el, and from the sojourner who sojourns among them, who eats any blood, and I will set My face against the person eating the blood, and I will cut him off from among his people.'

'Because the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your lives; for the blood makes atonement in the life.'

'Therefore I said to the sons of Yisra'el, No person among you will eat blood, and the sojourner who sojourns among you will not eat blood.'

'And any man from the sons of Yisra'el, and from the sojourner who sojourns among them, who hunts a hunted animal or a bird that may be eaten, and he spills its blood and covers it with earth.'

'Because the life of all flesh, its blood is its life; therefore I said to the sons of Yisra'el, You will not eat the blood of any flesh, because the life of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it will be cut off.'

'And any person who eats a carcass and what is torn by beasts, whether a native or a sojourner, and he washes his clothes and bathes in water, and he is unclean until evening, and then he is clean.'

'But if he does not wash and his flesh does not bathe, and he will bear his iniquity.'
