And there was a man from the mountain of Efrayim, and his name was Mikayhu.

And he said to his mother, 'The thousand and one hundred pieces of silver that were taken from you, and you swore, and also said in my ears, 'Look, the silver is with me, I took it,' and his mother said, 'Blessed, my son, to יהוה.'

And he returned the thousand and one hundred pieces of silver to his mother, and his mother said, 'I have consecrated the silver to יהוה from my hand for my son, to make a carved image and a metal image,' and now I will return it to you.

And he returned the silver to his mother, and his mother took two hundred pieces of silver and gave them to the silversmith, and he made them a carved image and a metal image, and they were in the house of Mikayhu.

And the man Mikah, he had a house of elohim, and he made an ephod and teraphim, and he filled the hand of one of his sons, and he became his priest.

In those days, there was no king in Yisra'el; each man did what was right in his own eyes.

And there was a young man from Bethlehem of Yehudah, from the family of Yehudah, and he was a Levite, and he was dwelling there.

And the man went from the city, from Bethlehem of Yehudah, to dwell wherever he might find [a place], and he came to the mountain of Efrayim, to the house of Mikah, to make his way.

And Mikah said to him, 'From where do you come?' And he said to him, 'I am a Levite from Bethlehem of Yehudah, and I am going to dwell wherever I may find [a place].'

And Mikah said to him, 'Stay with me, and be to me a father and a priest, and I will give you ten pieces of silver by the days, and a supply of clothes, and your food.' And the Levite went.

And the Levite agreed to stay with the man, and the young man became to him like one of his sons.

And Mikah filled the hand of the Levite, and the young man became his priest, and he was in the house of Mikah.

And Mikah said, 'Now I know that יהוה will do good to me, because the Levite has become my priest.'
