And Shimshon went to Azzah, and saw there a woman, a harlot, and went in to her.

To the Azzahites, saying, Shimshon came here. And they surrounded and lay in wait for him all the night at the gate of the city, and they kept quiet all the night, saying, Until the morning light, and we will kill him.

And Shimshon lay down until the middle of the night, and he got up in the middle of the night, and he took hold of the doors of the gate of the city and its two posts, and he pulled them up with the bar, and he put them on his shoulders, and he carried them up to the top of the mountain which is opposite Chevron.

And it was after this, and he loved a woman in the valley of Soreq, and her name was Delilah.

And the lords of the Pelishtim came up to her, and they said to her, Charm him, and see in what his strength is great, and in what we can prevail against him, and we will bind him to afflict him, and we will give to you each one a thousand and a hundred pieces of silver.

And Delilah said to Shimshon, Tell me, please, in what your strength is great, and in what you can be bound to afflict you.

And Shimshon said to her, If they bind me with seven fresh bowstrings which have not been dried, and I will become weak, and I will be like one of the humans.

And the lords of the Pelishtim brought up to her seven fresh bowstrings which had not been dried, and she bound him with them.

And the ambusher was sitting with her in the chamber. And she said to him, Pelishtim are upon you, Shimshon. And he broke the bowstrings like the breaking of a thread of tow when it smells fire, and his strength was not known.

And Delilah said to Shimshon, Behold, you have mocked me and spoken lies to me. Now tell me, please, in what you can be bound.

And he said to her, If they bind me with new ropes with which no work has been done, and I will become weak, and I will be like one of the humans.

And Delilah took new ropes, and she bound him with them, and she said to him, Pelishtim are upon you, Shimshon. And the ambusher was sitting in the chamber. And he broke them from his arms like a thread.

And Delilah said to Shimshon, Until now you have mocked me and spoken lies to me. Tell me, in what you can be bound. And he said to her, If you weave the seven locks of my head with the warp.

And she fastened it with the pin, and she said to him, Pelishtim are upon you, Shimshon. And he woke from his sleep, and he pulled out the pin of the loom and the warp.

And she said to him, How can you say, I love you, when your heart is not with me? This is the third time you have mocked me, and you have not told me in what your strength is great.

And it was when she pressed him with her words all the days, and she urged him, and his soul was weary to death.

And he told her all his heart, and he said to her, A razor has not come upon my head, because I am a Nazirite to Elohim from my mother's womb. If I am shaved, then my strength will depart from me, and I will become weak, and I will be like all humans.

And Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, and she sent and called the lords of the Pelishtim, saying, Come up this time, because he has told me all his heart. And the lords of the Pelishtim came up to her, and they brought the silver in their hand.

And she lulled him to sleep on her knees, and she called a man, and she shaved the seven locks of his head, and she began to afflict him, and his strength departed from him.

And she said, Pelishtim are upon you, Shimshon. And he woke from his sleep, and he said, I will go out as at other times, and I will shake myself free. And he did not know that יהוה had departed from him.

And the Pelishtim seized him, and they gouged out his eyes, and they brought him down to Azzah, and they bound him with bronze chains, and he was grinding in the house of the prisoners.

And the hair of his head began to grow, as if it had been shaved.

And the lords of the Pelishtim gathered to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon their Elohim, and for rejoicing. And they said, Our Elohim has given into our hand Shimshon our enemy.

And the people saw him, and they praised their Elohim, because they said, Our Elohim has given into our hand our enemy, and the one who destroyed our land, and the one who multiplied our slain.

And it was when their hearts were glad, and they said, Call Shimshon, and let him amuse us. And they called Shimshon from the house of the prisoners, and he amused them, and they stood him between the pillars.

And Shimshon said to the young man who held his hand, Let me go, and let me feel the pillars on which the house rests, and I will lean on them.

And the house was full of men and women, and there were all the lords of the Pelishtim, and on the roof were about three thousand men and women who were watching Shimshon's amusement.

And Shimshon called to יהוה and said, Adonai יהוה, remember me, please, and strengthen me, please, only this one time, O Elohim, and let me take vengeance for my two eyes from the Pelishtim, just once.

And Shimshon grasped the two middle pillars on which the house rested, and he leaned on them, one with his right hand and one with his left.

And Shimshon said, Let my soul die with the Pelishtim. And he bent with strength, and the house fell on the lords and on all the people who were in it. And the dead whom he killed at his death were more than those whom he killed during his life.

And his brothers and all his father's household came down, and they carried him up, and they buried him between Tsoreqah and Esthaol in the tomb of Manoah his father. And he judged Yisra'el for twenty years.
