And Yericho was shut up and shut up because of the sons of Yisra'el; none went out and none came in.

And יהוה said to Mosheh, 'See, I have given into your hand Yericho, and its king, mighty men of strength.'

And you shall surround the city, all the men of war, circling the city one time; thus you shall do six days.

And seven priests shall carry seven trumpets of jubilees before the ark, and on the seventh day you shall surround the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.

And it shall be when you blow with the horn of the jubilees, when you hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout a great shout, and the wall of the city shall fall down under it, and the people shall go up, each man straight ahead.

And Yehoshua the son of Nun called to the priests and said to them, 'Take up the ark of the covenant, and seven priests shall carry seven trumpets of jubilees before the ark of יהוה.'

And he said to the people, 'Pass and surround the city, and the vanguard shall pass before the ark of יהוה.'

And it was when Yehoshua spoke to the people, and the seven priests carrying the seven trumpets of jubilees before יהוה passed and blew with the trumpets, and the ark of the covenant of יהוה was going after them.

And the vanguard was going before the priests, the trumpeters of the trumpets, and the rear guard was going after the ark, going and blowing with the trumpets.

And Yehoshua commanded the people, saying, 'You shall not shout, and you shall not make your voice heard, and no word shall go out of your mouth until the day I say to you, 'Shout,' and you shall shout.'

And the ark of יהוה surrounded the city, circling one time, and they came to the camp and camped in the camp.

And Yehoshua got up in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of יהוה.

And they surrounded the city on the second day one time, and they returned to the camp; thus they did six days.

And it was on the seventh day, and they got up at the breaking of the dawn, and they surrounded the city according to this ordinance seven times; only on that day they surrounded the city seven times.

And it was at the seventh time the priests blew with the trumpets, and Yehoshua said to the people, 'Shout, for יהוה has given you the city.'

And the city shall be devoted, it and all that is in it, to יהוה; only Rahav the prostitute shall live, she and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers whom we sent.

And you yourselves, guard from the devoted things, lest you devote and take from the devoted things, and make the camp of Yisra'el devoted and trouble it.

And all silver and gold and vessels of bronze and iron are holy to יהוה; the treasury of יהוה it shall enter.

And the people shouted, and they blew with the trumpets, and it was when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted a great shout, and the wall fell down under it, and the people went up to the city, each man straight ahead, and they captured the city.

And they devoted all that was in the city, from man to woman, from young man to old man, and to ox and sheep and donkey, by the edge of the sword.

And to the two men who scouted the land Yehoshua said, 'Go into the house of the prostitute woman, and bring out from there the woman and all that belongs to her, just as you swore to her.'

And the young men, the scouts, went in and brought out Rahav, and her father, and her mother, and her brothers, and all that belonged to her, and all her families they brought out, and they left them outside the camp of Yisra'el.

And the city they burned with fire and all that was in it; only the silver and the gold and the vessels of bronze and the iron they put into the treasury of the house of יהוה.

And Rahav the prostitute, and the house of her father, and all that belonged to her, Yehoshua let live, and she dwelt in the midst of Yisra'el until this day, because she hid the messengers whom Yehoshua sent to scout Yericho.

And Yehoshua swore at that time, saying, 'Cursed is the man before יהוה who rises and builds this city, this Yericho; with his firstborn he shall found it, and with his youngest he shall set up its gates.'

And יהוה was with Yehoshua, and his fame was in all the land.
