The heads of the fathers of the Levites approached Eleazar the priest and Yehoshua son of Nun and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Yisra'el.

And they spoke with them in Shiloh in the land of Kena'an, saying, 'יהוה commanded by the hand of Mosheh to give us cities to dwell in and their pasturelands for our livestock.'

And the sons of Yisra'el gave to the Levites from their inheritance, according to the word of יהוה, these cities and their pasturelands.

And the lot came out for the families of the Kehati. And it was for the sons of Aharon the priest, from the Levites, from the tribe of Yehudah and from the tribe of Shim'on and from the tribe of Binyamin, by lot, thirteen cities.

And for the sons of Kehati who remained, from the families of the tribe of Efrayim and from the tribe of Dan and from half the tribe of Menasheh, by lot, ten cities.

And for the sons of Gershon, from the families of the tribe of Yisaskhar and from the tribe of Asher and from the tribe of Naftali and from half the tribe of Menasheh in Bashan, by lot, thirteen cities.

For the sons of Merari, for their families, from the tribe of Re'uven and from the tribe of Gad and from the tribe of Zevulun, twelve cities.

And the sons of Yisra'el gave to the Levites these cities and their pasturelands, as יהוה commanded by the hand of Mosheh, by lot.

And they gave from the tribe of the sons of Yehudah and from the tribe of the sons of Shim'on these cities, which were called by name.

And it was for the sons of Aharon, from the families of the Kehati, from the sons of Levi, for to them was the lot first.

And they gave to them Kiryat Arba, the father of Anak, it is Hevron in the mountain of Yehudah, and its pasturelands around it.

And the field of the city and its villages they gave to Kalev son of Yefuneh for his possession.

And to the sons of Aharon the priest they gave the city of refuge for a slayer, Hevron, and its pasturelands, and Livnah and its pasturelands.

And Yatir and its pasturelands, and Eshtemoa and its pasturelands.

And Holon and its pasturelands, and Devir and its pasturelands.

And Ein and its pasturelands, and Yutta and its pasturelands, and Beit Shemesh and its pasturelands; nine cities from these two tribes.

And from the tribe of Binyamin, Giv'on and its pasturelands, Geve'a and its pasturelands.

Anatot and its pasturelands, and Almon and its pasturelands; four cities.

All the cities of the sons of Aharon the priests were thirteen cities and their pasturelands.

And for the families of the sons of Kehati, the Levites who remained from the sons of Kehati, and it was their cities of lot from the tribe of Efrayim.

All ten cities and their pasturelands for the families of the sons of Kehati who remained.

And for the sons of Gershon, from the families of the Levites, from half the tribe of Menasheh, the city of refuge for a slayer, Golan in Bashan and its pasturelands, and Be'eshtarah and its pasturelands; two cities.

And from the tribe of Yisaskhar, Qishyon and its pasturelands, Daberat and its pasturelands.

Yarmut and its pasturelands, and Ein Gannim and its pasturelands; four cities.

And from the tribe of Asher, Mish'al and its pasturelands, Avdon and its pasturelands.

Ḥelqat and its pasturelands, and Reḥov and its pasturelands; four cities.

And from the tribe of Naftali, the city of refuge for a slayer, Qedesh in the Galil and its pasturelands, and Ḥamot-Dor and its pasturelands, and Qartan and its pasturelands; three cities.

All the cities of the Gershunites, for their families, were thirteen cities and their pasturelands.

And for the families of the sons of Merari, the Levites who remained, from the tribe of Zevulun, Yoqne'am and its pasturelands, Qarta and its pasturelands.

Dimnah and its pasturelands, Naḥalal and its pasturelands; four cities.

Hadad died, and Samlah from Masreqah reigned in his place.

All the cities for the sons of Merari, for their families, the remaining from the families of the Levites, and it was their lot, twelve cities.

All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the sons of Yisra'el were forty-eight cities and their pasturelands.

These cities were city by city and their pasturelands around them; so for all these cities.

And יהוה gave to Yisra'el all the land which He swore to give to their fathers, and they inherited it and dwelt in it.

And יהוה gave them rest all around, according to all that He swore to their fathers, and no man stood before them of all their enemies; all their enemies יהוה gave into their hand.

Not one thing fell from all the good things which יהוה spoke to the house of Yisra'el; all came to pass.
