Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said,

How long will you speak these things, and the words of your mouth are like a strong wind?

Does Elohim pervert justice? Or does Shaddai pervert righteousness?

If your children sinned against him, then he sent them away by the hand of their transgression.

If you yourself seek el, and to Shaddai you plead,

If you are pure and upright, then surely now he will rouse himself for you, and restore the dwelling of your righteousness.

And your beginning was small, but your latter end will increase greatly.

For please ask the former generation, and prepare yourself for the examination of their fathers.

For we are of yesterday, and we do not know, for our days on earth are like a shadow.

Will they not teach you? Will they not tell you? And from their heart will they bring out words?

Does the reed grow tall without water? Does the marsh grass grow without a marsh?

While it is still in its greenness, it is not plucked, and before all grass it dries up.

So are the ways of all who forget el, and the hope of the godless will perish.

For his confidence is his house, and the spider's web is his trust.

He leans on his house, but it will not stand; he grasps it, but it will not hold.

He is flourishing before the sun, and his branch goes out over his garden.

Around his roots it is tangled; it sees a house of stones.

If he is swallowed up from his place, then it will deny him, saying, 'I have not seen you.'

Behold, this is the joy of his way, and from the dust others will sprout.

Behold, el does not reject the blameless, nor does he hold the hand of evildoers.

Until he fills your mouth with laughter, and your lips with a shout of joy.

Your enemies will wear shame, and the tent of the wicked will be no more.
