Do you know the time mountain goats give birth? Do you watch when the does deliver?

Do you count the months they fulfill, and do you know the time they give birth?

They crouch, they bring forth their young, they send out their pains.

Their young grow strong in the open country; they go out and do not return to them.

Who sent out the wild donkey free? And who loosed the bonds of the wild ass?

Whose house I made the desert, and his dwelling places the salt land?

He laughs at the multitude of the city; the shouting of the driver he does not hear.

His pasture is the mountain range, and he searches after every green thing.

Will the wild ox agree to serve you? Will he spend the night at your feeding trough?

Will you tie the wild ox with a rope for plowing? Will he plow the valleys after you?

Will you trust him because his strength is great? And will you leave your labor to him?

Will you believe him that he will bring back your offspring, and gather your harvest to your threshing floor?

Does the ostrich flap its wings joyfully? Is its plumage like that of the stork and its feathers?

For she leaves her eggs on the ground, and warms them in the dust.

And she forgets that a foot may crush them, and the wild animals may trample them.

She is hardened against her young, as if they were not hers; her labor is in vain, without fear.

Because Elohim has withheld wisdom from her, and has not shared understanding with her.

At the right time she lifts herself high; she scoffs at the horse and its rider.

Do you give strength to the horse? Do you clothe its neck with thunder?

Do you make it leap like the locust? Its proud snorting is terrifying.

It paws in the valley and rejoices in its strength; it goes out to meet the weapons.

It laughs at fear and is not frightened; it does not turn back from the sword.

The quiver rattles against it, the flashing spear and the javelin.

In fury and rage it devours the ground; it does not believe it is the sound of the trumpet.

As the trumpet sounds, it says 'Aha!' It smells the battle from afar, the thunder of commanders and the war cry.

Is it by your understanding that the hawk soars, spreading its wings toward the south?

Does the eagle mount up at your command, or does it build its nest high?

It dwells on the cliff and lodges on a crag of rock and a stronghold.

From there it spies out food; its eyes look far away.

Its young also swallow blood; and where the slain are, there it is.
