And these three men stopped answering Iyov, because he was righteous in his own eyes.

Then Elihu the son of Barakel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, became angry at Iyov; his anger burned because Iyov had justified himself over Elohim.

And his anger burned against his three friends, because they had not found an answer, and they had declared Iyov guilty.

And Elihu waited for Iyov to speak, because they were older than he in days.

And Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men, and his anger burned.

And Elihu the son of Barakel the Buzite answered and said, 'I am young in days, and you are elders; therefore I was hesitant and afraid to show you my knowledge.

I said, 'Days should speak, and a multitude of years should make wisdom known.'

But it is a spirit in man, and the breath of Shaddai makes them understand.

The aged are not always wise, nor do the old always understand justice.

Therefore I said, 'Listen to me; I will also show my knowledge.'

Behold, I waited for your words; I listened to your understanding until you searched out sentences.

And I considered you, and behold, there was no one to convict Iyov; no one answered his words among you.

Lest you say, 'We have found wisdom; Elohim will defeat him, not man.'

For he has not directed his words against me, and with your words I will not answer him.

They are stunned; they no longer answer; they have withdrawn words from themselves.

And I waited, because they did not speak; because they stood still, they no longer answered.

I also will answer; I will show my portion; I will also show my knowledge.

For I am full of words; the spirit within me compels me.

Behold, my belly is like unvented wine, like new wineskins it is about to burst.

I will speak, and let me have relief; I will open my lips and answer.

Please, let me not show partiality to a man, nor let me flatter any person.

For I do not know how to flatter; otherwise my Maker would soon take me away.
