And it came to pass in that year, at the beginning of the reign of Tsidqiyah, king of Yehudah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Ḥananyah son of 'Azzur the prophet, who was from Giv'on, spoke to me in the house of יהוה, before the eyes of the priests and all the people, saying:

Thus says יהוה of Hosts, Elohim of Yisra'el, saying: I have broken the yoke of the king of Babel.

Within two years of days, I am returning to this place all the vessels of the house of יהוה, which Nebukhadnetstsar, king of Babel, took from this place and brought them to Babel.

And Yekhnyah son of Yehoyaqim, king of Yehudah, and all the captivity of Yehudah who are coming to Babel, I am returning to this place, the utterance of יהוה, because I will break the yoke of the king of Babel.

And Yirmeyah the prophet spoke to Ḥananyah the prophet, before the eyes of the priests and before the eyes of all the people standing in the house of יהוה.

And Yirmeyah the prophet said, Amen, so may יהוה do. May יהוה establish your words which you prophesied, to return the vessels of the house of יהוה and all the exiles from Babel to this place.

However, please listen to this word which I am speaking in your ears and in the ears of all the people.

The prophets who were before me and before you from of old, and they prophesied concerning many lands and concerning great kingdoms, for war and for disaster and for pestilence.

The prophet who prophesies for peace, when the word of the prophet comes, the prophet whom יהוה has sent in truth will be known.

And Ḥananyah the prophet took the yoke from upon the neck of Yirmeyah the prophet and broke it.

And Ḥananyah said before the eyes of all the people, saying: Thus says יהוה, like this I will break the yoke of Nebukhadnetstsar, king of Babel, within two years of days, from upon the neck of all the nations. And Yirmeyah the prophet went his way.

And the word of יהוה came to Yirmeyah, after Ḥananyah the prophet broke the yoke from upon the neck of Yirmeyah the prophet, saying:

Go and say to Ḥananyah, saying: Thus says יהוה, wooden yokes you have broken, and you have made instead of them, iron yokes.

For thus says יהוה of Hosts, Elohim of Yisra'el, an iron yoke I have put upon the neck of all these nations, to serve Nebukhadnetstsar, king of Babel, and they will serve him. And also the beasts of the field I have given to him.

And Yirmeyah the prophet said to Ḥananyah the prophet, Please listen, Ḥananyah, יהוה has not sent you, and you have caused this people to trust in a lie.

Therefore, thus says יהוה, behold, I am sending you away from upon the face of the earth. This year you are dying, because you have spoken rebellion against יהוה.

And Ḥananyah the prophet died in that year, in the seventh month.
