Woe to the shepherds who cause to perish and scatter my flock, declares יהוה.

Therefore, thus says יהוה, the Elohim of Yisra'el, concerning the shepherds who shepherd my people: You have scattered my flock and driven them away, and you have not visited them. Behold, I am about to visit upon you the evil of your deeds, declares יהוה.

And I will gather the remnant of my flock from all the lands where I have driven them, and I will bring them back to their pasture, and they will be fruitful and multiply.

And I will set shepherds over them, and they will shepherd them, and they will no longer fear, nor be dismayed, nor will any be missing, declares יהוה.

Behold, days are coming, declares יהוה, and I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, and a king will reign and act wisely, and he will do justice and righteousness in the land.

In his days Yehudah will be saved, and Yisra'el will dwell securely, and this is his name by which he will be called: יהוה our righteousness.

Therefore, behold, days are coming, declares יהוה, and they will no longer say, ‘As יהוה lives, who brought the children of Yisra'el up from the land of Mitsrayim.’

But rather, ‘As יהוה lives, who brought up and who brought the descendants of the house of Yisra'el from the north land and from all the lands where I had driven them,’ and they will dwell on their own soil.

Concerning the prophets, my heart is broken within me; all my bones tremble. I am like a drunken man, like a man overcome by wine, because of יהוה and because of his holy words.

For the land is full of adulterers; because of the curse, the land mourns; the pastures of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their might is not right.

For both prophet and priest are godless; even in my house I have found their wickedness, declares יהוה.

Therefore, their way will be like slippery places in the darkness; they will be driven and fall in them, for I will bring disaster upon them in the year of their punishment, declares יהוה.

And in the prophets of Shomron I have seen a repulsive thing; they prophesied by Ba'al and led my people Yisra'el astray.

And in the prophets of Yerushalayim I have seen a horrifying thing: adultery and walking in falsehood; and they strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one turns back from his wickedness. They have all become like Sedom to me, and its inhabitants like Amorah.

Therefore, thus says יהוה of hosts concerning the prophets: Behold, I am about to feed them wormwood, and I will make them drink water of poison, for from the prophets of Yerushalayim has gone forth ungodliness into all the land.

Thus says יהוה of hosts: Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you; they make you vain; they speak a vision from their own heart, not from the mouth of יהוה.

They say continually to those who despise me, ‘יהוה has spoken: You will have peace,’ and to all who walk in the stubbornness of their heart, they say, ‘No disaster will come upon you.’

For who has stood in the council of יהוה and seen and heard his word? Who has paid attention to his word and heard it?

Behold, the storm of יהוה, a fury, has gone forth, and a raging tempest will swirl down upon the head of the wicked.

The anger of יהוה will not turn back until he has performed and accomplished the purposes of his heart. In the latter days you will understand this with understanding.

I did not send the prophets, yet they ran; I did not speak to them, yet they prophesied.

But if they had stood in my council, and had made my words known to my people, they would have turned them from their evil way and from their evil deeds.

Am I an Elohim who is near, declares יהוה, and not an Elohim who is far away?

Can a person hide himself in secret places, so that I do not see him? declares יהוה. Do I not fill the heavens and the earth? declares יהוה.

I have heard what the prophets who prophesy falsehood in my name have said, saying, ‘I have dreamed, I have dreamed.’

How long will this continue in the hearts of the prophets who prophesy falsehood, and who prophesy the deceit of their own heart?

They intend to make my people forget my name by their dreams which they tell, each man to his neighbor, just as their fathers forgot my name for Ba'al.

Let the prophet who has a dream tell his dream, but let him who has my word speak my word faithfully. What does straw have to do with grain? declares יהוה.

Is not my word like fire, declares יהוה, and like a hammer that shatters the rock?

Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, declares יהוה, who steal my words from one another.

Behold, I am against the prophets, declares יהוה, who use their tongues and say, ‘He declares.’

Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams, declares יהוה, and who tell them and lead my people astray by their lies and their recklessness, though I did not send them nor command them, and they are of no benefit to this people, declares יהוה.

And when this people, or a prophet, or a priest asks you, saying, ‘What is the burden of יהוה?’ then you shall say to them, ‘You are the burden, and I will cast you off,’ declares יהוה.

And as for the prophet, or the priest, or the people who say, ‘The burden of יהוה,’ then I will punish that man and his household.

Thus you shall say to one another, and to his brother, ‘What has יהוה answered?’ and ‘What has יהוה spoken?’

But you shall no longer remember ‘The burden of יהוה,’ for the burden will be for each man his word, and you have perverted the words of the living Elohim, יהוה of hosts, our Elohim.

Thus you shall say to the prophet, ‘What has יהוה answered you?’ and ‘What has יהוה spoken?’

But if you say, ‘The burden of יהוה,’ then thus says יהוה, ‘Because you say this word, “The burden of יהוה,” and I have sent to you saying, “You shall not say, ‘The burden of יהוה’,”’

therefore, behold, I will surely lift you up, and I will cast you off, and the city which I gave to you and to your fathers, from my presence.

And I will bring upon you everlasting reproach and perpetual shame, which will not be forgotten.
