And the word of יהוה came to me, saying:

You shall not take for yourself a wife, and you shall not have sons and daughters in this place.

For thus says יהוה concerning the sons and concerning the daughters who are born in this place, and concerning their mothers who bear them, and concerning their fathers who beget them in this land:

By deadly sicknesses they will die; they will not be mourned, and they will not be buried; they will be like dung on the face of the ground. And by sword and by famine they will be consumed, and their carcasses will be food for the birds of the sky and for the beasts of the earth.

For thus says יהוה, 'You shall not enter a house of mourning, and you shall not go to mourn, and you shall not lament for them, for I have withdrawn my peace from this people,' declares יהוה, 'the steadfast love and the mercy.'

Both great ones and small ones will die in this land; they will not be buried, and they will not mourn for them, and they will not gash themselves, and they will not shave their heads for them.

And they will not break bread for them in mourning to comfort them for the dead, and they will not give them a cup of consolation to drink for their father and for their mother.

And into a house of feasting you shall not go to sit with them to eat and to drink.

For thus says יהוה of hosts, the Elohim of Yisra'el, 'Behold, I am causing to cease from this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of rejoicing and the voice of gladness, the voice of a groom and the voice of a bride.'

And it will be, when you declare to this people all these words, and they say to you, 'For what reason has יהוה spoken against us all this great evil? And what is our iniquity? And what is our sin which we have sinned against יהוה our Elohim?'

And you shall say to them, 'Because your fathers abandoned me,' declares יהוה, 'and they went after other elohim and served them and bowed down to them, and they abandoned me and did not keep my torah.'

And you have done evil, more than your fathers, and behold, you are each going after the stubbornness of your evil heart, so as not to listen to me.

And I will cast you out from this land to a land which you and your fathers did not know, and there you will serve other elohim day and night, for I will not grant you favor.'

Therefore, behold, days are coming,' declares יהוה, 'and it will no longer be said, 'As יהוה lives, who brought the children of Yisra'el up from the land of Mitsrayim.'

But rather, 'As יהוה lives, who brought the children of Yisra'el up from the land of the north and from all the lands where he had driven them.' And I will bring them back to their land which I gave to their fathers.

Behold, I am sending for many fishermen,' declares יהוה, 'and they will fish them out. And after that, I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain and from every hill and from the crevices of the rocks.

For my eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from me, and their iniquity is not concealed from my eyes.

And I will repay first their double iniquity and their sin, because they defiled my land with the carcasses of their detestable things and filled my inheritance with their abominations.

יהוה, my strength and my fortress and my refuge in the day of distress, nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, 'Indeed, our fathers inherited falsehood, emptiness, and there is nothing useful in them.'

Will a man make elohim for himself, and they are not elohim?

Therefore, behold, I am making them know, this time I will make them know my hand and my might, and they will know that my name is יהוה.
