And יהוה said to me, 'If Mosheh and Shemu'el stand before Me, My soul is not toward this people. Send them away from before Me, and let them go.'

And it will be, if they say to you, 'Where shall we go out?' then you shall say to them, 'Thus says יהוה: Those for death, to death; and those for sword, to sword; and those for famine, to famine; and those for captivity, to captivity.'

'And I will appoint over them four kinds of destruction,' declares יהוה: 'the sword to kill, and the dogs to drag, and the birds of the sky and the beasts of the earth to eat and to destroy.'

'And I will give them as a terror to all kingdoms of the earth, because of Menashsheh son of Yitsḥaq, king of Yehudah, for what he did in Yerushalayim.'

'For who will pity you, Yerushalayim? And who will mourn for you? And who will turn aside to ask for your well-being?'

'You have forsaken Me,' declares יהוה. 'You keep going backward. So I stretched out My hand against you and destroyed you. I am weary of relenting.'

'And I winnowed them with a winnowing fork at the gates of the land. I bereaved, I destroyed My people from their ways. They did not return.'

'Their widows are more numerous to Me than the sand of the seas. I brought against the mother of a youth a destroyer at midday. I suddenly caused to fall upon her city, terrors.'

'She who bore seven has become weak. She breathed out her life. Her sun set while it was still day. She is ashamed and disgraced. And the rest of them I will give to the sword before their enemies,' declares יהוה.

'Woe to me, my mother, that you bore me, a man of strife and a man of contention to all the land! I have not lent, nor have they lent to me; yet all of them curse me.'

'יהוה said, 'Indeed, I will grant you favor for good. Indeed, I will cause the enemy to plead with you in a time of distress and in a time of trouble.'

'Can iron break iron from the north, and bronze?'

'Your strength and your treasures I will give as plunder, without price, and because of all your sins, and throughout your borders.'

'And I will cause your enemies to pass through a land you do not know, for a fire is kindled in My anger; it will burn against you.'

'You know, יהוה. Remember me and visit me, and take vengeance for me on my persecutors. Do not take me away in Your long-suffering. Know that I bear reproach for Your sake.'

'Your words were found, and I ate them. And Your word became to me a rejoicing and the joy of my heart, for Your name is called upon me, יהוה, Elohim of Armies.'

'I did not sit in the assembly of those who rejoice, nor did I exult because of Your hand. Alone I sat, because You filled me with indignation.'

'Why has my pain been perpetual? And my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? Will You be to me like a deceptive stream, like waters that do not fail?'

'Therefore, thus says יהוה: If you return, I will bring you back before Me you shall stand. And if you bring out the precious from the worthless, you shall be like My mouth. They shall return to you, but you shall not return to them.'

'And I will make you to this people a fortified wall of bronze, and they will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you, for I am with you to save you and to deliver you,' declares יהוה.

'And I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem you from the palm of the oppressors.'
