I was sought by those who did not ask; I was found by those who did not seek. I said, 'Here I am, here I am,' to a nation that did not call on my name.

I stretched out my hands all day to a rebellious people, who walk in a way not good, after their own thoughts.

The people who provoke me to anger, to my face, continually; sacrificing in gardens and burning offerings on bricks.

Who sit among graves and lodge in secret places; who eat pig's flesh, and broth of abominations is in their vessels.

Who say, 'Keep to yourself, do not come near me, for I am holy to you.' These are smoke in my nostrils, a fire burning all day.

Behold, it is written before me; I will not be silent, but I will repay, and I will repay into their bosom.

'Your iniquities and the iniquities of your fathers together,' says יהוה, 'who have burned incense on the mountains and insulted me on the hills; and I will measure their former deeds into their bosom.'

Thus says יהוה, 'As when the juice is found in a cluster of grapes, and one says, 'Do not destroy it, for a blessing is in it'; so I will do for the sake of my servants, not to destroy everything.'

And I will bring forth offspring from Ya'aqov, and an heir from Yehudah from my mountains; and my chosen ones will inherit it, and my servants will dwell there.

And the Sharon will be a pasture for sheep, and the valley of Achor a resting place for cattle, for my people who have sought me.

But you who forsake יהוה, who forget my holy mountain, who prepare a table for Gad, and who fill a drink offering for Meni.

And I will assign you to the sword, and you will all bow down to the slaughter; because I called, and you did not answer; I spoke, and you did not hear; but you did what was evil in my eyes, and chose what I did not delight in.

Therefore, thus says Adonai יהוה, 'Behold, my servants will eat, but you will hunger; behold, my servants will drink, but you will thirst; behold, my servants will rejoice, but you will be ashamed.'

'Behold, my servants will sing for joy of heart, but you will cry out from pain of heart, and you will wail from brokenness of spirit.'

'And you will leave your name as a curse for my chosen ones; and Adonai יהוה will kill you, and call his servants by another name.'

'He who blesses himself in the land will bless himself by the Elohim of truth; and he who swears in the land will swear by the Elohim of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hidden from my eyes.'

'For behold, I am creating new heavens and a new earth; and the former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.'

'But rejoice and be glad forever for what I am creating; for behold, I am creating Yerushalayim a rejoicing, and her people a joy.'

'And I will rejoice in Yerushalayim and be glad in my people; and the sound of weeping and the sound of crying will no longer be heard in her.'

'No longer will there be from there an infant of days, nor an old man who does not fill his days; for the youth will die at one hundred years, and the sinner at one hundred years will be cursed.'

'And they will build houses and inhabit them; and they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.'

'They will not build, and another inhabit; they will not plant, and another eat; for the days of my people will be like the days of a tree, and the work of their hands my chosen ones will wear out.'

'They will not labor in vain, nor will they bear children for calamity; for they are the offspring of the blessed of יהוה, and their descendants with them.'

'And it will be, before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will hear.'

'The wolf and the lamb will graze as one, and the lion will eat straw like the cattle, and dust will be the serpent's food. They will not harm or destroy in all my holy mountain,' says יהוה.
