Who has believed our report, and to whom has the arm of יהוה been revealed?

And he ascended like a sapling before him, and like a root from a dry land; he has no form and no splendor, and we saw him, and no appearance, and we desired him.

Despised and forsaken by men, a man of pains and acquainted with sickness, and like one hiding his face from us, despised, and we did not regard him.

Surely, our sicknesses he bore, and our pains he carried; yet we considered him stricken, struck by אֱלֹהִים, and afflicted.

But he was pierced because of our transgressions, crushed because of our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

All of us like sheep have strayed; each turned to his own way, and יהוה caused to meet him the iniquity of all of us.

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb to slaughter he was led, and like a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth.

From oppression and from judgment he was taken, and his generation who will consider? For he was cut off from the land of the living; because of the transgression of my people he was stricken.

And they gave him his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he committed no violence, and no deceit was in his mouth.

Yet יהוה was pleased to crush him; he made him sick. If you make his soul a guilt offering, he will see offspring, he will prolong days, and the desire of יהוה will prosper in his hand.

From the travail of his soul he will see, he will be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify the many, and their iniquities he will bear.

Therefore I will divide to him among the many, and with the mighty he will divide spoil, because he poured out his soul to death, and he was numbered with transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for transgressors.
