Awake, awake! Clothe yourself in your strength, Tsiyon. Clothe yourself in your garments of splendor, Yerushalayim, city of holiness. For no longer will the uncircumcised and the unclean enter into you.

Shake yourself from the dust. Rise, sit, Yerushalayim. Unwind the cords of your neck, captive daughter of Tsiyon.

For so says יהוה, you were sold for nothing, and you will not be redeemed with money.

For so says Adonai יהוה, My people went down to Mitsrayim at first to sojourn there, and Ashur oppressed them for nothing.

And now, what is here for me? declares יהוה. Because My people were taken for nothing. Their rulers howl, declares יהוה, and continually all day My name is despised.

Therefore, My people will know My name. Therefore, on that day, know that it is I who speak. Behold, I am here.

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger, proclaiming peace, proclaiming good, proclaiming salvation, saying to Tsiyon, Your Elohim reigns!

Your watchmen raise their voice; together they sing. For eye to eye they see the return of יהוה to Tsiyon.

Break forth, sing together, ruins of Yerushalayim! For יהוה has comforted His people; He has redeemed Yerushalayim.

יהוה has bared His holy arm before the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our Elohim.

Depart, depart! Go out from there! Do not touch anything unclean! Go out from its midst! Purify yourselves, you who carry the vessels of יהוה.

For you will not go out in haste, and you will not go in flight. For יהוה goes before you, and your gatherer is Elohei Yisra'el.

Behold, My servant will act wisely; he will be raised and lifted up and be exceedingly high.

Just as many were astonished at you, so his disfigurement was more than any man, and his appearance more than the sons of Adam.

So he will sprinkle many nations; kings will shut their mouths because of him. For they will see what had not been told to them, and they will understand what they had not heard.
