Woe to those going down to Mitsrayim for help, relying on horses, and trusting in chariots because many, and in horsemen because very strong, and not looking to the Holy One of Yisra'el, and not seeking יהוה.

But also he is wise and brings disaster, and does not retract his words, and rises against the house of evildoers and against the help of workers of iniquity.

And Mitsrayim is man and not elohim, and their horses are flesh and not spirit. And יהוה will stretch out his hand, and the helper will stumble, and the helped will fall, and together all will perish.

For thus יהוה said to me, As the lion and the young lion growl over his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called out against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor will he be humbled by their noise. So יהוה of hosts will come down to wage war on Mount Tsiyon and on its hill.

As birds flying, so יהוה of hosts will defend over Yerushalayim; defending, he will also deliver; passing over, he will also rescue.

Return to him who has been deeply rebelled against, sons of Yisra'el.

For on that day each will reject his silver idols and his gold idols, which your hands made for you as sin.

And Ashshur will fall by a sword not of man, and a sword not of mankind will devour him. And he will flee from the face of the sword, and his young men will become forced labor.

And his rock will pass over from terror, and his officers will be frightened from the standard, says יהוה, whose fire is in Tsiyon and his furnace in Yerushalayim.
