Woe, Ariel, Ariel, city where David encamped, add year to year, let the feasts revolve.

And I will distress Ariel, and there will be mourning and lamentation, and it will be to me like Ariel.

And I will encamp like a circle against you, and I will besiege you with a fortress, and I will raise siege ramps against you.

And you will be brought low, from the earth you will speak, and from the dust your utterance will be humbled, and your voice will be like a ghost from the earth, and your utterance will whisper from the dust.

And the multitude of your strangers will be like fine dust, and the multitude of the mighty ones will be like chaff passing by, and it will happen suddenly, in an instant.

From יהוה of hosts you will be visited with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, storm, and tempest, and the flame of a consuming fire.

And it will be like a dream, a vision of the night, the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, and all her besiegers, and her siege works, and those who distress her.

And it will be as when the hungry dreams, and behold, he eats, but he awakens, and his soul is empty; and as when the thirsty dreams, and behold, he drinks, but he awakens, and behold, he is weary, and his soul longs; so will be the multitude of all the nations that fight against Mount Tsiyon.

Be astonished and wonder; be dazed and blind; they are drunk, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.

And Adonai said, 'Because this people draws near with their mouth and honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men learned by rote,

Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work among this people, a marvelous and wondrous work; and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their discerning ones will be hidden.'

Woe to those who hide their counsel deep from יהוה, and whose deeds are in darkness, and who say, 'Who sees us? And who knows us?'

You turn things upside down! Shall the potter be regarded as the clay? Shall what is made say to its maker, 'He did not make me'? Or shall what is formed say to him who formed it, 'He has no understanding'?

Is it not yet a very little while until Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be regarded as a forest?

And in that day the deaf shall hear the words of a scroll, and out of gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see.

The humble also shall increase their joy in יהוה, and the poor among men shall exult in the Holy One of Yisra'el.

For the tyrant will be no more, and the scoffer will cease, and all who watch for iniquity will be cut off,

those who make men guilty by a word, and who set a trap for the one who reproves in the gate, and who turn aside the righteous by an empty plea.

Therefore, thus says יהוה concerning the house of Ya'aqov, who redeemed Avraham: 'Ya'aqov shall not now be ashamed, nor shall his face now grow pale.

But when he sees his children, the work of my hands, in his midst, they will sanctify my name; they will sanctify the Holy One of Ya'aqov and will stand in awe of the Elohim of Yisra'el.

And those who err in spirit will understand understanding, and those who grumble will learn instruction.
