In that day, this song will be sung in the land of Yehudah: A strong city for us; He will place salvation, walls and rampart.

Open gates, and the righteous nation that keeps faithfulness will enter.

A steadfast purpose You will guard; peace, peace, because in You we trust.

Trust in יהוה forever, because in Yah יהוה is the Rock of ages.

For He has brought down the inhabitants of the height, the lofty city; He will bring it down, He will bring it down to the earth; He will bring it down to the dust.

Feet will trample it, the feet of the afflicted, the steps of the poor.

The way of the righteous is straight; You smooth the path of the righteous.

Indeed, the way of Your judgments, יהוה, we have waited for You; for Your name and Your remembrance is the desire of the soul.

My soul desires You in the night; indeed, my spirit within me seeks You, for when Your judgments are on the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

Favor will be shown to the wicked; he does not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness he acts crookedly and does not see the majesty of יהוה.

יהוה, Your hand is lifted high, they do not see; but they will see and be ashamed for the zeal of the people; indeed, fire for Your enemies will consume them.

יהוה, You will establish peace for us, for You have also accomplished all our works for us.

יהוה our Elohim, other masters besides You have ruled us, but only in You do we remember Your name.

The dead will not live; shades will not rise; therefore You have visited and destroyed them, and made all remembrance of them perish.

You have increased the nation, יהוה, You have increased the nation; You are glorified; You have extended all the borders of the land.

יהוה, in distress they sought You; they cried out in anguish when Your discipline was upon them.

As a woman with child draws near to give birth, writhes and cries out in her pangs, so have we become because of You, יהוה.

We have been pregnant, we have writhed, as if we have given birth to wind; we have not accomplished salvation for the earth, nor have the inhabitants of the world fallen.

Your dead will live; my corpses will rise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust, for your dew is like the dew of the morning, and the earth will bring forth the shades.

Go, my people, enter your chambers and shut your doors behind you; hide yourself for a little while until the wrath passes.

For behold, יהוה is coming out of His place to punish the iniquity of the inhabitant of the earth against Him, and the earth will reveal her blood and will no longer cover her slain.
