For יהוה will have compassion on Ya'aqov and will again choose Yisra'el, and will cause them to rest on their ground; and the sojourner will join with them, and they will attach themselves to the house of Ya'aqov.

And peoples will take them and bring them to their place, and the house of Yisra'el will possess them on the ground of יהוה as male and female servants; and they will be captors of their captors, and they will rule over their oppressors.

And it will be on the day that יהוה gives you rest from your pain, and from your agitation, and from the hard service that was done to you.

And you will take up this taunt against the king of Babel, and you will say, 'How the oppressor has ceased, the extortion has ceased!'

יהוה has broken the staff of the wicked, the rod of the rulers.

Striking peoples in fury, a striking without turning aside; ruling in anger, nations pursued without restraint.

And you said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; I will exalt my throne above the stars of Elohim; and I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far north.'

'I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.'

But you will be brought down to Sheol, to the far depths of the pit.

Those who see you will stare at you; they will ponder you, saying, 'Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms?'

Who made the world a wilderness and destroyed its cities, who did not open the house of his prisoners?

All the kings of the nations, all of them, lie in glory, each in his own tomb.

But you are cast out of your grave like a rejected branch, clothed with the slain, those pierced by the sword, those going down to the stones of the pit, like a trampled corpse.

You will not be united with them in burial, because you have destroyed your land and slain your people; the offspring of evildoers will not be mentioned forever.

Prepare a slaughter for his children because of the iniquity of their fathers, so that they may not rise up and possess the land and fill the face of the world with cities.
