And David added, and took all the chosen in Yisra'el, thirty thousand.

And David arose, and all the people who were with him, from Ba'aley Yehudah, to bring up from there the Ark of Elohim, whose name was called the name of יהוה Tzeva'ot, who sits on the cherubim.

And they mounted the Ark of Elohim on a new wagon, and they carried it from the house of Avinadav which is on the hill. And Uzah and Aḥiy, sons of Avinadav, were driving the new wagon.

And they carried it from the house of Avinadav which is on the hill, with the Ark of Elohim. And Aḥiy was walking before the Ark.

And David and all the house of Yisra'el were playing before יהוה with all kinds of cypress wood, and with lyres, and with harps, and with tambourines, and with sistrums, and with cymbals.

And they came to the threshing floor of Nakhohn. And Uzah stretched out his hand to the Ark of Elohim and grasped it, because the oxen had stumbled.

And the anger of יהוה burned against Uzah, and Elohim struck him there on the spot, and he died there with the Ark of Elohim.

And it grieved David because יהוה had made a breach against Uzah. And he called the name of that place Peretz-Uzah, until this day.

And David feared יהוה on that day, and he said, 'How can the Ark of יהוה come to me?'

And David was unwilling to move the Ark of יהוה to him, to the city of David. And David turned it aside into the house of Oved-Edom the Gittite.

And the Ark of יהוה resided in the house of Oved-Edom the Gittite for three months. And יהוה blessed Oved-Edom and all his household.

And it was told to King David, saying, 'יהוה has blessed the house of Oved-Edom and all that belongs to him because of the Ark of Elohim.' And David went and brought up the Ark of Elohim from the house of Oved-Edom to the city of David with joy.

And it was that the carriers of the Ark of יהוה had taken six steps, and he sacrificed an ox and a fattened calf.

And David was dancing with all his might before יהוה. And David was girded with a linen ephod.

And David and all the house of Yisra'el were bringing up the Ark of יהוה with shouting and with the sound of the horn.

And it was that the Ark of יהוה was coming to the city of David. And Mikhal, daughter of Sha'ul, looked out through the window. And she saw King David leaping and dancing before יהוה. And she despised him in her heart.

And they brought the Ark of יהוה and set it in its place, inside the tent that David had pitched for it. And David offered burnt offerings before יהוה and peace offerings.

And David finished offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings. And he blessed the people in the name of יהוה Tzeva'ot.

And he distributed to all the people, to all the multitude of Yisra'el, from man even to woman, to each one a loaf of bread, and a portion of meat, and a raisin cake. And all the people went, each to his house.

And David returned to bless his household. And Mikhal, daughter of Sha'ul, came out to meet David. And she said, 'How honored was the King of Yisra'el today, who uncovered himself today before the eyes of the female servants of his slaves, as one of the worthless men uncovers himself!'

And David said to Mikhal, 'It was before יהוה, who chose me over your father and over all his house, to appoint me a ruler over the people of יהוה, over Yisra'el. And I will play before יהוה.'

And I will become even more lowly than this, and I will be lowly in my own eyes. And with the female servants whom you spoke of, with them I will be honored.

And for Mikhal, daughter of Sha'ul, she did not have a child until the day of her death.
