In his days, Nebukhadretser king of Babel arose, and Yehoyaqim was his servant three years, then he turned and rebelled against him.

And יהוה sent against him bands of Kasdim, and bands of Aram, and bands of Mo'av, and bands of the sons of Ammon, and he sent them against Yehudah to destroy it, according to the word of יהוה which he spoke by the hand of his servants the prophets.

Only by the command of יהוה did it happen to Yehudah, to remove them from his presence, because of the sins of Menasheh, according to all that he had done.

And also the blood of the innocent which he shed, and he filled Yerushalayim with innocent blood, and יהוה was not willing to forgive.

And the rest of the deeds of Yehoyaqim, and all that he did, are they not written in the scroll of the deeds of the days of the kings of Yehudah?

And Yehoyaqim rested with his fathers, and Yehoyakhin his son reigned in his place.

And the king of Mitsrayim did not again go out from his land, because the king of Babel took from the stream of Mitsrayim to the river Perat, all that belonged to the king of Mitsrayim.

Eighteen years old was Yehoyakhin when he began to reign, and three months he reigned in Yerushalayim, and the name of his mother was Neḥushta daughter of Elnatan from Yerushalayim.

And he did evil in the eyes of יהוה, according to all that his father had done.

At that time, the servants of Nebukhadretser king of Babel came up against Yerushalayim, and the city came under siege.

And Nebukhadretser king of Babel came against the city, and his servants besieged it.

And Yehoyakhin king of Yehudah went out to meet the king of Babel, he and his mother, and his servants, and his officers, and his eunuchs, and the king of Babel took him in the eighth year of his reign.

And he took out from there all the treasures of the house of יהוה, and the treasures of the king's house, and he cut in pieces all the golden vessels which Shelomoh king of Yisra'el had made in the temple of יהוה, as יהוה had spoken.

And he exiled all of Yerushalayim, and all the officers, and all the mighty men of valor, ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths; none remained except the poor of the land.

And he exiled Yehoyakhin to Babel, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his eunuchs, and the nobles of the land he took as captives from Yerushalayim to Babel.

And all the men of war, seven thousand, and the craftsmen and the smiths, a thousand, all mighty men doing war, and the king of Babel brought them as captives to Babel.

And the king of Babel made Mattanyah his uncle king in his place, and he changed his name to Tsidqiyahu.

Twenty-one years old was Tsidqiyahu when he began to reign, and eleven years he reigned in Yerushalayim, and the name of his mother was Ḥamutal daughter of Yirmeyahu from Livnah.

And he did evil in the eyes of יהוה, according to all that Yehoyaqim had done.

For because of the anger of יהוה it was in Yerushalayim and in Yehudah until he cast them out from his presence, and Tsidqiyahu rebelled against the king of Babel.
