In the twenty-seventh year of Yarov'am king of Yisra'el, 'Azaryah son of 'Amatzyahu king of Yehudah began to reign.

He was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-two years in Yerushalayim. His mother's name was Yekolyahu from Yerushalayim.

He did what was right in the eyes of יהוה, just as his father 'Amatzyahu had done.

However, the high places were not removed; the people were still sacrificing and burning incense on the high places.

יהוה struck the king, and he was a leper until the day of his death. He lived in a separate house, and Yotam, the king's son, was over the household, judging the people of the land.

'Azaryah rested with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David. Yotam his son reigned in his place.

In the thirty-eighth year of 'Azaryah king of Yehudah, Zekharyahu son of Yarov'am reigned over Yisra'el in Shomron for six months.

He did what was evil in the eyes of יהוה, as his fathers had done. He did not turn from the sins of Yarov'am son of Nevat, who caused Yisra'el to sin.

Shallum son of Yavesh conspired against him, struck him down before the people, killed him, and reigned in his place.

This was the word of יהוה that he spoke to Yehu: 'Your sons to the fourth generation will sit on the throne of Yisra'el.' And so it was.

Shallum son of Yavesh reigned in the thirty-ninth year of 'Uziyyahu king of Yehudah. He reigned in Shomron for one month.

Then Menaḥem son of Gadi came up from Tirtsah, entered Shomron, struck Shallum son of Yavesh in Shomron, killed him, and reigned in his place.

He did what was evil in the eyes of יהוה. He did not turn from the sins of Yarov'am son of Nevat, who caused Yisra'el to sin, all his days.

Pul king of Ashshur came against the land. Menaḥem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver so that his hand would be with him to strengthen the kingdom in his hand.

Menaḥem exacted the silver from Yisra'el, from all the mighty men of valor, fifty shekels of silver for each man, to give to the king of Ashshur. So the king of Ashshur turned back and did not remain there in the land.

He did what was evil in the eyes of יהוה. He did not turn from the sins of Yarov'am son of Nevat, who caused Yisra'el to sin.

Pekah son of Remalyahu, his officer, conspired against him. He struck him down in Shomron, in the palace of the king's house, with Argob and Aryeh, and with him fifty men of Gil'ad. He killed him and reigned in his place.

In the fifty-second year of 'Azaryah king of Yehudah, Pekah son of Remalyahu reigned over Yisra'el in Shomron for twenty years.

He did what was evil in the eyes of יהוה. He did not turn from the sins of Yarov'am son of Nevat, who caused Yisra'el to sin.

In the days of Pekah king of Yisra'el, Tiglat-Pileser king of Ashshur came, and he captured Iyvon, and 'Avel-bet-Ma'akhah, and Yanoaḥ, and Qedesh, and Ḥatsor, and Gil'ad, and the Galilah, all the land of Naftali, and exiled them to Ashshur.

Hoshea son of Elah conspired against Pekah son of Remalyahu. He struck him and killed him, and reigned in his place in the twentieth year of Yotam son of 'Uziyyahu.

In the second year of Pekah son of Remalyahu king of Yisra'el, Yotam son of 'Uziyyahu king of Yehudah began to reign.

He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Yerushalayim. His mother's name was Yerushah daughter of Tsadoq.

He did what was right in the eyes of יהוה, just as his father 'Uziyyahu had done.

However, the high places were not removed. The people were still sacrificing and burning incense on the high places. He built the upper gate of the house of יהוה.

In those days, יהוה began to send Reṣin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remalyahu against Yehudah.

Yotam rested with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of his father David. Ahaz his son reigned in his place.
