And when Shelomoh finished praying, the fire came down from the sky and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of יהוה filled the house.

And the priests could not enter the house of יהוה because the glory of יהוה filled the house of יהוה.

And all the sons of Yisra'el saw the fire coming down and the glory of יהוה upon the house, and they bowed down with their faces to the ground on the pavement and worshipped and gave thanks to יהוה, for he is good, for his mercy is forever.

And the king and all the people were sacrificing sacrifices before יהוה.

And King Shelomoh sacrificed a sacrifice of cattle, twenty-two thousand, and sheep, one hundred and twenty thousand, and they consecrated the house of Elohim, the king and all the people.

And the priests stood at their stations, and the Levites with instruments of music for יהוה, which King David made to give thanks to יהוה, for his mercy is forever, with praise by David in their hands, and the priests with trumpets before them, and all Yisra'el stood.

And Shelomoh consecrated the inner court that was before the house of יהוה, for he offered there the burnt offerings and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar that Shelomoh made could not contain the burnt offering, the grain offering, and the fat.

And Shelomoh celebrated the feast at that time, seven days, and all Yisra'el with him, a very great assembly, from the entrance of Ḥamath to the brook of Mitsrayim.

And they held a solemn assembly on the eighth day, for they had consecrated the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.

And on the twenty-third day of the seventh month, he sent the people to their tents, joyful and good of heart for the goodness that יהוה had done for David, and for Shelomoh, and for Yisra'el his people.

And Shelomoh finished the house of יהוה and the house of the king, and all that Shelomoh intended to do in the house of יהוה and in his own house, he succeeded.

And יהוה appeared to Shelomoh by night and said to him, 'I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a house of sacrifice.'

'If I shut up the sky so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people.'

'And my people, upon whom my name is called, humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from the sky and forgive their sin and heal their land.'

'Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer of this place.'

'And now I have chosen and consecrated this house, that my name may be there forever, and my eyes and my heart will be there all the days.'

'And you, if you walk before me as your father David walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and keep my statutes and my judgments.'

'Then I will establish the throne of your kingdom, as I covenanted with your father David, saying, 'There shall not be cut off from you a man ruling in Yisra'el.''

'But if you turn and forsake my statutes and my commandments that I have set before you, and go and serve other elohim and worship them.'

'Then I will uproot them from my land that I have given them, and this house, which I have consecrated to my name, I will cast away from my presence, and I will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples.'

'And this house, which was exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and say, 'Why has יהוה done this to this land and to this house?'

'And they will say, 'Because they abandoned יהוה, the Elohim of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim, and they clung to other elohim and worshipped them and served them. Therefore, he brought all this disaster upon them.'
