And Yoshiyahu performed Pesach for יהוה in Yerushalayim, and they slaughtered the Pesach on the fourteenth of the first month.

And he stationed the priests in their divisions, and strengthened them for the service of the house of יהוה.

And he said to the Levites, the instructors, to all Yisra'el, the holy ones to יהוה, 'Put the Ark of the Covenant in the house which Shlomo, son of David, king of Yisra'el, built; you have no burden on your shoulder. Now serve יהוה, your Elohim, and His people Yisra'el.

'And prepare according to your divisions, for your fathers' houses, according to the writing of David, king of Yisra'el, and according to the writing of Shlomo his son.

'And stand in the holy place according to the divisions of the fathers' houses for your brothers, the sons of the people, and for the division of the fathers' house of the Levites.

'And slaughter the Pesach, and consecrate yourselves, and prepare for your brothers, to do according to the word of יהוה by the hand of Mosheh.'

'And Yoshiyahu gave to the sons of the people lambs and sons of goats, all for the Pesach offerings, all who were present, thirty thousand, and cattle, three thousand; these were from the king's possessions.

'And his officers gave willingly for the people, for the priests, and for the Levites; Ḥilqiyahu and Zekharyahu and Yeḥi'el, rulers of the house of Elohim, gave to the priests for the Pesach offerings two thousand six hundred, and cattle three hundred.

'And Kenanyahu, and Shma'yahu, and Netana'el his brother, and Ḥashavyahu, and Ye'i'el, and Jozabad, rulers of the Levites, gave to the Levites for the Pesach offerings five thousand, and cattle five hundred.

'And the service was established, and the priests stood in their stations, and the Levites in their divisions, according to the king's command.

'And they slaughtered the Pesach, and the priests sprinkled from their hands, and the Levites skinned.

'And they removed the burnt offering to give them to the divisions of the fathers' houses for the sons of the people, to offer to יהוה, as written in the book of Mosheh, and so for the cattle.

'And they roasted the Pesach in fire according to the ordinance, and the holy offerings they roasted in pots, and in cauldrons, and in pans, and hurried them to all the sons of the people.

'And afterward they prepared for themselves and for the priests, because the priests, the sons of Aharon, were offering the burnt offerings and the fat until night, and the Levites prepared for themselves and for the priests, the sons of Aharon.

'And the singers, the sons of Asaph, were in their place according to the command of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Yedutun, the king's seer; and the gatekeepers at each gate; they had no need to depart from their service, because their brothers the Levites prepared for them.

'And all the service of יהוה was established on that day, to perform the Pesach and to offer burnt offerings on the altar of יהוה, according to the command of King Yoshiyahu.

'And the sons of Yisra'el who were present performed the Pesach at that time, and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, seven days.

'And no Pesach like it had been performed in Yisra'el from the days of Shemu'el the prophet, and all the kings of Yisra'el had not performed like the Pesach which Yoshiyahu performed, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Yehudah and Yisra'el who were present, and the inhabitants of Yerushalayim.

'In the eighteenth year of the reign of Yoshiyahu, this Pesach was performed.

'After all this, which Yoshiyahu had prepared the house, Nekho, king of Mitsrayim, went up to fight at Carchemish on the Euphrates, and Yoshiyahu went out to meet him.

'And he sent messengers to him, saying, 'What have I to do with you, king of Yehudah? I am not against you today, but against the house of my war, and Elohim said to hasten me; cease from Elohim who is with me, and He will not destroy you.'

'But Yoshiyahu did not turn his face from him, for he disguised himself to fight against him, and he did not listen to the words of Nekho from the mouth of Elohim, and he came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.

'And the archers shot at King Yoshiyahu, and the king said to his servants, 'Carry me away, for I am very sick.'

'And his servants carried him away from the chariot, and they mounted him on the second chariot which he had, and they brought him to Yerushalayim, and he died, and was buried in the graves of his fathers; and all Yehudah and Yerushalayim mourned for Yoshiyahu.

'And Yirmeyahu lamented for Yoshiyahu, and all the princes and the women sang in their laments for Yoshiyahu until this day; and they made them a statute in Yisra'el, and behold, they are written in the Laments.

'And the rest of the deeds of Yoshiyahu and his kindnesses, as written in the Torah of יהוה.

'And his first and last deeds, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Yisra'el and Yehudah.
