Yotam was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Yerushalayim, and his mother's name was Yerushah daughter of Tsadoq.

And he did what was right in the eyes of יהוה, according to all that his father Uzziyahu had done; only he did not enter the temple of יהוה, and the people were still acting corruptly.

He built the Upper Gate of the house of יהוה, and he built extensively on the wall of the 'Ofel.

And he built cities in the hill country of Yehudah, and in the forests he built fortresses and towers.

And he fought against the king of the sons of Ammon, and he prevailed against them, and the sons of Ammon gave him in that year one hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand measures of barley. This they gave him in the second year and the third year.

And Yotam grew strong, because he prepared his ways before יהוה his Elohim.

Now the rest of the acts of Yotam, and all his wars, and his ways, behold, they are written in the Book of the Kings of Yisra'el and Yehudah.

And Yotam lay down with his fathers, and they buried him in the City of David, and his son Aḥaz reigned in his place.
