And Azaryahu son of Oded, the spirit of Elohim was upon him.

And he went out before Asa and said to him, Hear me, Asa, and all Yehudah and Binyamin. יהוה is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will be found by you. And if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

And many days for Yisra'el, without an Elohim of truth, and without a priest teaching, and without Torah.

And he turned in his distress to יהוה, Elohim of Yisra'el, and they sought Him, and He was found by them.

And in those times, there was no peace for the one going out and for the one coming in, for there were great disturbances upon all the inhabitants of the lands.

And nation was crushed by nation, and city by city, for Elohim afflicted them with all distress.

And you, be strong, and let your hands not be weak, for there is a reward for your work.

And when Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he strengthened himself, and he removed the detestable things from all the land of Yehudah and Binyamin, and from the cities which he captured from Mount Efrayim. And he renewed the altar of יהוה which was before the vestibule of יהוה.

And he gathered all Yehudah and Binyamin, and the sojourners with them from Efrayim and Manasseh and from Shim'on, for many from Yisra'el had fallen to him when they saw that יהוה his Elohim was with him.

And they gathered in Yerushalayim in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.

And they sacrificed to יהוה on that day from the spoil they brought: seven hundred cattle and seven thousand sheep.

And they entered into a covenant to seek יהוה, Elohim of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul.

And whoever would not seek יהוה, Elohim of Yisra'el, would be put to death, from small and from great, from man and from woman.

And they swore to יהוה with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with horns.

And all Yehudah rejoiced concerning the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart, and with all their desire they sought Him, and He was found by them. And יהוה gave them rest all around.

And also Ma'akah, the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for the Asherah. And Asa cut down her abominable image, and crushed it, and burned it by the brook of Kidron.

But the high places were not removed from Yisra'el; nevertheless, the heart of Asa was whole all his days.

And he brought the holy things of his father and his own holy things into the house of Elohim: silver and gold and vessels.

And there was no war until the thirty-fifth year of the reign of Asa.
