And it happened when Shelomoh finished building the house of יהוה and the house of the king, and all of Shelomoh's desire which he desired to do.

And יהוה appeared to Shelomoh a second time, as he had appeared to him in Giv'on.

And יהוה said to him, 'I have heard your prayer and your plea which you pleaded before me. I have consecrated this house which you have built to put my name there forever, and my eyes and my heart will be there all the days.'

And you, if you walk before me as your father David walked, with a whole heart and with uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and you keep my statutes and my judgments.

And I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Yisra'el forever, as I spoke concerning your father David, saying, 'There shall not be cut off from you a man from the throne of Yisra'el.'

'If you turn, you and your children, from following me, and do not keep my commandments, my statutes which I have set before you, and you go and serve other elohim and bow down to them.

Then I will cut off Yisra'el from the face of the land which I have given them, and the house which I have consecrated to my name I will cast away from my presence, and Yisra'el will become a proverb and a byword among all the peoples.'

And this house will be high. Everyone who passes by it will be astonished and will hiss, and they will say, 'Why did יהוה do this to this land and to this house?'

And they will say, 'Because they abandoned יהוה their Elohim, who brought their fathers out of the land of Mitsrayim, and they clung to other elohim and bowed down to them and served them. Therefore, יהוה brought all this disaster upon them.'

And it happened at the end of twenty years, in which Shelomoh built the two houses, the house of יהוה and the house of the king.

Ḥiram, king of Tsor, supplied Shelomoh with cedar trees and fir trees and gold, for all his desire. Then King Shelomoh gave Ḥiram twenty cities in the land of the Galil.

And Ḥiram went out from Tsor to see the cities which Shelomoh had given him, and they did not please him.

And he said, 'What are these cities which you have given me, my brother?' And he called them the land of Kaḇul until this day.

And Ḥiram sent to the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold.

And this is the account of the forced labor which King Shelomoh levied to build the house of יהוה, and his own house, and the Millo, and the wall of Yerushalayim, and Ḥatsor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.

Pharaoh, king of Mitsrayim, had come up and captured Gezer, and burned it with fire, and killed the Kena'ani who lived in the city, and gave it as a dowry to his daughter, Shelomoh's wife.

And Shelomoh rebuilt Gezer, and Beth-Ḥoron the Lower.

And Ba'alat, and Tadmor in the wilderness, in the land.

And all the store cities which Shelomoh had, and the cities for chariots, and the cities for horsemen, and all that Shelomoh desired to build in Yerushalayim, and in the Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.

All the people remaining from the Emori, the Ḥitti, the Perizzi, the Ḥivvi, and the Yevussi, who were not from the sons of Yisra'el.

Their children who remained after them in the land, whom the sons of Yisra'el could not utterly destroy, Shelomoh made them into forced laborers until this day.

But from the sons of Yisra'el, Shelomoh did not make any slaves, for they were the men of war, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers, and his chariot commanders, and his horsemen.

These were the chief officers who were over the work for Shelomoh: five hundred and fifty who were overseers of the people doing the work.

But Pharaoh's daughter came up from the city of David to her house which he had built for her. Then he built the Millo.

And Shelomoh offered up three times a year burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar which he had built for יהוה, and burned incense with it before יהוה, and completed the house.

And King Shelomoh built ships at Etzyon-Gever, which is near Elat, on the shore of the Sea of Reeds, in the land of Edom.

And Ḥiram sent his servants with the ships, sailors who knew the sea, along with Shelomoh's servants.

And they went to Ofir, and took from there four hundred and twenty talents of gold, and brought them to King Shelomoh.
