And Shelomoh was ruling over all the kingdoms from the river, the land of the Pelishtim, and to the border of Mitsrayim; they were bringing tribute and serving Shelomoh all the days of his life.

And Shelomoh's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and sixty measures of flour,

ten fattened bulls, and twenty pasture bulls, and a hundred sheep, besides deer, and gazelles, and roebucks, and fattened fowl.

For he was ruling over all the region beyond the river, from Tifsah even to Azzah, over all the kings beyond the river; and there was peace for him from all around his borders.

And Yehudah and Yisra'el were dwelling securely, each man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-Sheva, all the days of Shelomoh.

And Shelomoh had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

And these appointed officials provided for King Shelomoh and for all who came to the table of King Shelomoh, each man in his month; they did not lack anything.

And barley and fodder for the horses and for the work animals they brought to the place where each man was, according to his assignment.

And Elohim gave wisdom to Shelomoh and understanding in great abundance, and breadth of heart like the sand which is on the seashore.

And the wisdom of Shelomoh was more than the wisdom of all the sons of the East, and all the wisdom of Mitsrayim.

For he was wiser than all men, than Ethan the Ezrachite, and Heman, and Kalkol, and Darda, sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the surrounding nations.

And he spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs were a thousand and five.

And he spoke about the trees, from the cedar which is in Lebanon even to the hyssop which grows out of the wall; and he spoke about the animals, and about the birds, and about the creeping things, and about the fish.

And men came from all peoples to hear the wisdom of Shelomoh, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom.

And Hiram, king of Tsur, sent his servants to Shelomoh, because he heard that they had anointed him king in place of his father; for Hiram had loved David all the days.

And Shelomoh sent to Hiram, saying:

You know my father David, that he was not able to build a house for the name of יהוה his Elohim because of the war which surrounded him, until יהוה put them under the soles of his feet.

And now, יהוה my Elohim has given me rest from all around; there is no adversary and no evil occurrence.

And behold, I am going to build a house for the name of יהוה my Elohim, as יהוה spoke to my father David, saying, 'Your son, whom I will put in your place on your throne, he will build the house for My name.'

And now, command, and they will cut for me cedars from Lebanon, and my servants will be with your servants, and I will give you the wages for your servants, whatever you say; for you know that there is no one among us who knows how to cut trees like the Sidonians.

And when Hiram heard the words of Shelomoh, he rejoiced greatly, and said, 'Blessed be יהוה today, who has given David a wise son over this great people.'

And Hiram sent to Shelomoh, saying, 'I have heard what you sent to me; I will do all your desire with cedar trees and with cypress trees.'

My servants will bring them down from Lebanon to the sea, and I will make them rafts at sea to the place you send me, and I will break them up there, and you will carry them up, and you will do my desire by giving food for my house.'

And Hiram was giving Shelomoh cedar trees and cypress trees, all his desire.

And Shelomoh gave to Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food for his house, and twenty measures of pure olive oil; thus Shelomoh will give to Hiram year by year.

And יהוה gave wisdom to Shelomoh, as He spoke to him; and there was peace between Hiram and Shelomoh, and they made a covenant, the two of them.

And King Shelomoh levied a tax from all Yisra'el, and the tax was thirty thousand men.

And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand men a month, in shifts; a month they were in Lebanon, two months in their homes. And Adoniram was over the tax.

And Shelomoh had seventy thousand carriers of burdens, and eighty thousand stonecutters in the mountains,

besides Shelomoh's overseers who were over the work, three thousand and three hundred, who ruled over the people doing the work.

And the king commanded, and they quarried great stones, precious stones, hewn stones, to lay the foundation of the house.

And Shelomoh's builders and Hiram's builders and the Giblites quarried them, and they prepared the timber and the stones to build the house.
