And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year of the going out of the sons of Yisra'el from the land of Mitsrayim, in the fourth year, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month, for Shelomoh's reigning over Yisra'el, and the house was built for יהוה.

And the house which King Shelomoh built for יהוה, its length was sixty cubits, and its width twenty, and its height thirty cubits.

And the vestibule before the inner sanctuary of the house, its length was twenty cubits, before the width of the house, ten cubits its width, before the house.

And he made for the house windows of latticed openings, closed.

And he built against the wall of the house, a story surrounding, the walls of the house surrounding, for the inner sanctuary and for the most holy place, and he made side chambers surrounding.

The lower story was five cubits wide, and the middle six cubits wide, and the third seven cubits wide, for he made ledges for the house around, outside, so as not to grip the walls of the house.

And the house, when it was built, was of whole stone, prepared, and it was built, and hammer and any iron tool was not heard in the house, when it was built.

The entrance of the middle story was on the right side of the house, and by winding stairs they went up to the middle story, and from the middle story to the third.

And he built the house and finished it, and he paneled the house with beams and planks of cedar.

And he built the story upon all the house, five cubits its height, and he joined the house with beams of cedar.

And the word of יהוה came to Shelomoh, saying:

This house which you are building, if you will walk in my statutes, and do my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them, then I will establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father.

And I will dwell among the sons of Yisra'el, and I will not forsake my people Yisra'el.

And Shelomoh built the house and finished it.

And he built the walls of the house inside with planks of cedar, from the floor of the house to the walls of the ceiling, he paneled with wood inside, and he paneled the floor of the house with planks of cypress.

And he built twenty cubits of the rear of the house with planks of cedar, from the floor to the walls, and he built for himself inside for the most holy place.

And the house, the inner sanctuary before it, was forty cubits.

And cedar was in the house inside, carved with gourds and flower blossoms, all cedar, no stone was seen.

And the most holy place inside the house, he prepared to put there the Ark of the Covenant of יהוה.

And before the most holy place, twenty cubits its length, and twenty cubits its width, and twenty cubits its height, and he overlaid it with pure gold, and he overlaid the altar of cedar.

And Shelomoh overlaid the house inside with pure gold, and he passed chains of gold before the most holy place, and he overlaid it with gold.

And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until the completion of the whole house, and the whole altar which was by the most holy place, he overlaid with gold.

And in the most holy place he made two cherubim of olive wood, ten cubits its height.

And five cubits was the wing of the one cherub, and five cubits the wing of the second cherub, ten cubits from the tips of its wings to the tips of its wings.

And ten cubits was the second cherub, one measure, and one shape for the two cherubim.

The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was the second cherub.

And he put the cherubim inside the inner house, and they spread their wings, and the wing of the one touched the wall, and the wing of the second cherub touched the second wall, and their wings toward the inside of the house touched wing to wing.

And he overlaid the cherubim with gold.

And all the walls of the house around he carved with carved figures of cherubim and palm trees and flower blossoms, from the inside and the outside.

And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold, inside and outside.

And the entrance of the most holy place he made doors of olive wood, the frame was five.

And two doors of olive wood, and he carved on them carved figures of cherubim and palm trees and flower blossoms, and overlaid them with gold, and he overlaid the cherubim and the palm trees with gold.

And so he made for the entrance of the inner sanctuary, frames of olive wood, from a fourth.

And two doors of cypress wood, two folding leaves for the one door, and two folding leaves for the second door.

And he carved cherubim and palm trees and flower blossoms, and overlaid with gold, smoothed upon the carving.

And he built the inner court, three rows of hewn stone and one row of cedar planks.

In the fourth year, the house of יהוה was founded, in the month of Ziv.

And in the eleventh year, in the month of Bul, which is the eighth month, the house was completed, for all its matters and for all its arrangements, and he built it in seven years.
