And David the king said to all the assembly: Shlomo my son, one, Elohim chose him, a youth and tender, and the work is great, for not for man is the palace, but for יהוה Elohim.

And with all my strength I prepared for the house of my Elohim the gold for gold, and the silver for silver, and the bronze for bronze, the iron for iron, and the wood for wood, stones of shoham and fillings, stones of fine work and all precious stone, and stones of marble in abundance.

And moreover, in my delight in the house of my Elohim, I have a treasure of gold and silver, I have given for the house of my Elohim, above all that I prepared for the house of the holy.

Three thousand talents of gold from the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to coat the walls of the houses.

For gold for gold, and for silver for silver, and for all work by the hand of craftsmen, and who is volunteering to fill his hand today for יהוה?

And the chiefs of the fathers, and the chiefs of the tribes of Yisra'el, and the chiefs of the thousands and the hundreds, and the chiefs of the king's work volunteered.

And they gave for the service of the house of Elohim: gold, five thousand talents, and darics a myriad; and silver, ten thousand talents; and bronze, a myriad and eight thousand talents; and iron, a hundred thousand talents.

And whoever was found with him, stones they gave for the treasury of the house of יהוה, by the hand of Yeḥi'el the Gershunite.

And the people rejoiced over their volunteering, for with a whole heart they volunteered to יהוה, and also David the king rejoiced with great joy.

And David blessed יהוה before all the assembly, and David said: Blessed are you, יהוה, Elohim of Yisra'el our father, from eternity and to eternity.

Yours, יהוה, is the greatness, and the power, and the splendor, and the victory, and the majesty, for all in the heavens and on the earth are Yours. Yours, יהוה, is the kingdom, and You are exalted as head over all.

And the riches and the honor are from before You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand are strength and power, and in Your hand it is to make great and to strengthen all.

And now, our Elohim, we give thanks to You and praise Your glorious name.

And who am I, and who is my people, that we should have the strength to volunteer like this? For all is from You, and from Your hand we have given to You.

For we are sojourners before You and residents, like all our fathers. Like a shadow are our days on the earth, and there is no hope.

יהוה our Elohim, all this abundance that we have prepared to build for You a house for Your holy name, is from Your hand, and all is Yours.

And I know, my Elohim, that You test the heart and You delight in uprightness. I, in the uprightness of my heart, have volunteered all these things, and now I have seen Your people who are found here rejoicing to volunteer to You.

יהוה Elohim of Avraham, Yitsḥaq, and Yisra'el our fathers, preserve this forever, for the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of Your people, and establish their heart to You.

And to Shlomo my son, give a whole heart to keep Your commands, Your testimonies, and Your statutes, and to do all, and to build the palace that I have prepared.

And David said to all the assembly: Bless now יהוה your Elohim. And all the assembly blessed יהוה Elohim of their fathers, and they bowed down and prostrated themselves to יהוה and to the king.

And they sacrificed sacrifices to יהוה, and offered burnt offerings to יהוה on the next day: a thousand bulls, a thousand rams, a thousand lambs, and their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Yisra'el.

And they ate and drank before יהוה on that day with great joy. And they made Shlomo son of David king a second time, and they anointed him to יהוה as ruler, and Tsadoq as priest.

And Shlomo sat on the throne of יהוה as king in place of David his father, and he prospered, and all Yisra'el obeyed him.

And all the chiefs and the mighty men, and also all the sons of king David, gave their hand under Shlomo the king.

And יהוה greatly exalted Shlomo in the eyes of all Yisra'el, and He bestowed upon him royal majesty such as had not been upon any king before him over Yisra'el.

And David son of Yishai reigned over all Yisra'el.

And the days that he reigned over Yisra'el were forty years: in Hebron he reigned seven years, and in Yerushalayim he reigned thirty-three.

And he died in good old age, full of days, riches, and honor. And Shlomo his son reigned in his place.

And the acts of David the king, the first and the last, behold, they are written in the acts of Shemu'el the seer, and in the acts of Nathan the prophet, and in the acts of Gad the seer.

With all his kingdom and his might, and the times that passed over him, and over Yisra'el, and over all the kingdoms of the lands.
