And Ḥiram, king of Tsor, sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and stonemasons, and carpenters, to build for him a house.

And David knew that יהוה had established him as king over Yisra'el, because his kingdom was lifted up, because of his people Yisra'el.

And David took more wives in Yerushalayim, and David fathered more sons and daughters.

And these are the names of the ones born to him in Yerushalayim: Shamma, and Shovav, Natan, and Shlomoh.

And Yivkhar, and Elishua, and Elifelet.

And Nogah, and Nefeg, and Yafi'a.

And Elishama, and Be'elyada, and Elifelet.

And the Pelishtim heard that David was anointed king over all Yisra'el, and all the Pelishtim went up to seek David, and David heard, and went out before them.

And the Pelishtim came and spread out in the valley of Refa'im.

And David inquired of Elohim, saying, 'Shall I go up against the Pelishtim? And will you give them into my hand?' And יהוה said to him, 'Go up, for I will give them into your hand.'

And they went up to Ba'al-peratsim, and David struck them there. And David said, 'Elohim broke through my enemies by my hand, like a breakthrough of waters.' Therefore, they called the name of that place Ba'al-peratsim.

And they left their elohim there, and David said, and they were burned with fire.

And the Pelishtim added again, and spread out in the valley.

And David inquired again of Elohim, and Elohim said to him, 'You shall not go up after them; turn away from them, and you will come to them from the direction of the weeping trees.'

And it will be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the weeping trees, then you shall go out for battle, for Elohim has gone out before you to strike the camp of the Pelishtim.'

And David did as Elohim commanded him, and they struck the camp of the Pelishtim from Giv'on to Gezer.

And the name of David went out in all the lands, and יהוה put his terror upon all the nations.
