And these are the ones who came to David at Tsiklag, still shut off because of Sha'ul, son of Qish. And they were among the mighty warriors, helpers of the war.

Archers, right-handed and left-handed with stones and with arrows in the bow, from the brothers of Sha'ul, from Binyamin.

The chief, Aḥi'ezer, and Yo'ash, sons of Hasham'ah the Gibe'ati; and Viziel and Ḥaruf, sons of Azmavet; and Berakhah and Yehu the Anatoti.

And Yishma'yah the Gibe'oni, a mighty warrior among the thirty, and over the thirty.

And Yirmeyah, and Yaḥazi'el, and Yoḥanan, and Yozavad the Gederati.

And El'uzai, and Yirimot, and Be'alyah, and Shmaryahu, and Shefatyah the Ḥarufi.

And Elqanah, and Yishiyahu, and Azar'el, and Yo'ezer, and Yashav'am the Korḥim.

And Yo'el'ah and Zevadyah, sons of Yerokham from Gedor.

And from the Gadites, those who separated themselves to David at the stronghold, mighty warriors, men of the army for war, arraying shield and spear, their faces like the faces of lions, and swift as gazelles on the mountains.

Ezer the chief, Obadyah the second, Eli'av the third.

Mishmannah the fourth, Yirmeyah the fifth.

Attai the sixth, Eli'el the seventh.

Yoḥanan the eighth, Elzavad the ninth.

Yirmeyahu the tenth, Makbannai the eleventh.

These from the sons of Gad, chiefs of the army; one was over a hundred, the small and the great, over a thousand.

These are they who crossed the Jordan in the first month, and it filled all its banks, and they drove away all the inhabitants of the valleys to the east and to the west.

And sons of Binyamin and Yehudah came to David at the stronghold.

And David went out before them, and answered and said to them, 'If you have come in peace to help me, my heart will be united with you. But if to deceive me to my enemies, with no violence in my hands, may the Elohim of our fathers see and judge.'

And the spirit clothed Amasai, chief of the captains, 'Yours, David, and with you, son of Yishai. Peace, peace to you, and peace to your helpers, for your Elohim has helped you.' And David received them and appointed them as chiefs of the troop.

And from Menasheh, some fell to David when he came with the Pelishtim against Sha'ul for war, and they did not help them, for the chiefs of the Pelishtim sent him away with counsel, saying, 'On our heads he will fall to his master Sha'ul.'

As he went to Tsiklag, some from Menasheh fell to him: Adnah, and Jozavad, and Yadi'el, and Mikha'el, and Jozavad, and Elihu, and Tsiltai, chiefs of the thousands who were of Menasheh.

And they helped David with the troop, for they were all mighty warriors, and they were captains in the army.

For day by day they came to David to help him, until the camp was large, like the camp of Elohim.

And these are the numbers of the chiefs of the elite troops who came to David at Hevron to turn the kingdom of Sha'ul to him, according to יהוה.

Sons of Yehudah, bearers of shield and spear, six thousand and eight hundred, elite troops for the army.

From the sons of Shimon, mighty warriors for the army, seven thousand and one hundred.

From the sons of Levi, four thousand and six hundred.

And Yehoyada, the commander of Aharon, and with him three thousand and seven hundred.

And Tsadoq, a young mighty warrior, and his father's house, twenty-two chiefs.

And from the sons of Binyamin, brothers of Sha'ul, three thousand; until now, the majority of them were keeping the watch of the house of Sha'ul.

And from the sons of Efrayim, twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty warriors, men of renown, for their fathers' houses.

And from half the tribe of Menasheh, eighteen thousand, who were named to come to make David king.

And from the sons of Yissaskhar, those who understood the times to know what Yisra'el should do, their chiefs were two hundred, and all their brothers were at their command.

From Zevulun, those who went out to war, arrayed for battle with all the equipment for war, fifty thousand, and to serve without a divided heart.

And from Naftali, chiefs, one thousand, and with them with shield and spear, thirty-seven thousand.

And from Dan, arrayed for battle, twenty-eight thousand and six hundred.

And from Asher, those who went out to war, to array for battle, forty thousand.

And from across the Jordan, from the Re'uveni and the Gadi and half the tribe of Menasheh, with all the equipment for war, one hundred and twenty thousand.

All these, men of war, arrayed for battle with a whole heart, came to Hevron to make David king over all Yisra'el, and also all the rest of Yisra'el were of one heart to make David king.

And they were there with David for three days, eating and drinking, for their brothers had prepared for them.

And also those close to them, from Yissaskhar and Zevulun and Naftali, brought food on donkeys, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen; flour, dried figs, and raisins, and wine and oil, and cattle and sheep in abundance, for there was joy in Yisra'el.
