Shomron will be held accountable because she rebelled against her Elohim. Her children will fall by the sword, her infants will be smashed, and her pregnant women will be ripped open.

Return, Yisra'el, to יהוה your Elohim, because you have stumbled because of your guilt.

Take words with you and return to יהוה. Say to Him, 'Take away all guilt and accept what is good, so we will offer the fruit of our lips as sacrifices.'

Ashshur will not save us; we will not ride on horses, nor will we say again, 'Our Elohim,' to the work of our hands, by which the orphan will find mercy.

I will heal their turning away; I will love them willingly, because My anger has turned away from them.

I will be like dew to Yisra'el; he will blossom like a lily and strike his roots like the Lebanon.

His shoots will go out, and his splendor will be like the olive tree, and his fragrance like the Lebanon.

Those who live in his shade will return; they will live like grain and blossom like the vine; his memory will be like the wine of Lebanon.

Efrayim, what more do I have to do with idols? I have answered and I will watch over him. I am like a green cypress tree; from me your fruit is found.

Who is wise, let him understand these things? Who is discerning, let him know them? For the ways of יהוה are straight, and the righteous will walk in them, but transgressors will stumble in them.
