And Elohim remembered Noaḥ and all the living creature and all the livestock which were with him in the ark, and Elohim caused a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided.

And the springs of the deep and the floodgates of the heavens were stopped, and the rain from the heavens was restrained.

And the waters returned from off the earth, going and returning, and the waters diminished after one hundred and fifty days.

And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.

And the waters kept going and diminishing until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first of the month, the tops of the mountains appeared.

And it came to pass at the end of forty days, and Noaḥ opened the window of the ark which he had made.

And he sent out the raven, and it went out, going and returning until the waters were dried up from off the earth.

And he sent out the dove from him to see if the waters had lessened from off the surface of the ground.

And the dove found no resting place for the sole of her foot, and she returned to him into the ark, because waters were upon the face of all the earth. And he put out his hand and took her and brought her into the ark to him.

And he waited yet another seven days, and he sent out the dove from the ark again.

And the dove came to him at evening time, and behold, a torn olive leaf in her mouth. And Noaḥ knew that the waters had lessened from off the earth.

And he waited yet another seven days, and he sent out the dove, and she did not return to him anymore.

And it came to pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, on the first of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth. And Noaḥ removed the covering of the ark, and he looked, and behold, the surface of the ground was dry.

And in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry.

And Elohim spoke to Noaḥ, saying:

Go out from the ark, you and your wife and your sons and your sons' wives with you.

Every living creature that is with you of all flesh, of bird and of livestock and of every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, bring out with you, and let them swarm on the earth and be fruitful and multiply on the earth.

And Noaḥ went out, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him.

Every living creature, every creeping thing, and every bird, everything that creeps on the earth, according to their families, went out from the ark.

And Noaḥ built an altar to יהוה, and took of every clean livestock and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

And יהוה smelled the pleasing aroma, and יהוה said in his heart, 'I will not again curse the ground anymore because of man, for the inclination of man's heart is evil from his youth, and I will not again strike down every living thing as I have done.

As long as all the days of the earth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
