And Yosef was brought down to Mitsrayim, and Potifar, an officer of Par'oh, the chief of the bodyguards, a Mitsrayim man, bought him from the hand of the Yishma'elim who had brought him down there.

And יהוה was with Yosef, and he was a successful man, and he was in the house of his Mitsrayim master.

And his master saw that יהוה was with him, and whatever he does, יהוה makes successful in his hand.

And Yosef found favor in his eyes, and he served him, and he appointed him over his house, and all that he had, he gave into his hand.

And it was from the time he appointed him over his house and over all that he had, that יהוה blessed the house of the Mitsrayim man because of Yosef, and the blessing of יהוה was on all that he had in the house and in the field.

And he left all that he had in the hand of Yosef, and he did not know anything with him except the bread which he was eating, and Yosef was handsome of form and handsome of appearance.

And it happened after these things, that the wife of his master lifted her eyes to Yosef, and she said, 'Lie with me.'

But he refused, and he said to the wife of his master, 'Look, my master does not know anything with me in the house, and all that he has, he gave into my hand.'

'He is not greater in this house than I, and he has not withheld anything from me except you, because you are his wife. And how can I do this great evil and sin against Elohim?'

And it happened as she spoke to Yosef day by day, that he did not listen to her, to lie beside her, to be with her.

And it happened one day like this, that he came into the house to do his work, and there was no man of the household there in the house.

And she seized him by his garment, saying, 'Lie with me!' But he left his garment in her hand, and he fled and went outside.

And it happened when she saw that he left his garment in her hand, and he fled outside,

That she called to the men of her house, and she said to them, saying, 'Look, he brought in to us a Hebrew man to make sport of us. He came to me to lie with me, and I cried out with a loud voice.'

And it happened when he heard that I lifted my voice and cried out, that he left his garment beside me, and he fled and went outside.

And she left his garment beside her until the time her master came into his house.

And she spoke to him according to these words, saying, 'The Hebrew servant whom you brought to us came to me to make sport of me.'

And it happened when I lifted my voice and cried out, that he left his garment beside me, and he fled and went outside.'

And it happened when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spoke to him, saying, 'This is how your servant treated me,' that his anger burned.

And the master of Yosef took him and gave him into the house of confinement, the place where the king's prisoners were confined, and he was there in the house of confinement.

And יהוה was with Yosef, and He inclined kindness to him, and He gave favor in the eyes of the chief of the house of confinement.

And the chief of the house of confinement gave into the hand of Yosef all the prisoners who were in the house of confinement, and all that was done there, he was doing.

The chief of the house of confinement did not look at anything in his hand, because יהוה was with him, and whatever he did, יהוה made successful.
