And the word of יהוה came to me, saying:

Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Yisra'el and prophesy against them.

And say, Mountains of Yisra'el, hear the word of Adonai, Elohim. Thus says Adonai, Elohim to the mountains and to the hills, to the ravines and to the valleys: Behold, I, I am bringing against you a sword, and I will destroy your high places.

And your altars will become desolate, and your sun pillars will be broken, and I will cast down your slain before your idols.

And I will lay the corpses of the sons of Yisra'el before their idols, and I will scatter your bones around your altars.

In all your dwelling places, the cities will become ruined, and the high places will become desolate, so that your altars may become ruined and guilty, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your sun pillars may be cut down, and your works may be blotted out.

And a slain one will fall among you, and you will know that I am יהוה.

And I will leave a remnant, so that you may have survivors of the sword among the nations, when you are scattered among the lands.

And your survivors will remember me among the nations where they are taken captive, that I have broken their adulterous heart which turned away from me, and their eyes which are adulterous after their idols. And they will loathe themselves because of the evils which they have done, with all their abominations.

And they will know that I am יהוה. I have not spoken in vain when I said I would bring this disaster upon them.

Thus says Adonai, Elohim: Strike with your hand and stamp with your foot, and say, 'Alas!' concerning all the evil abominations of the house of Yisra'el, that they will fall by the sword, by famine, and by plague.

The one far away will die by plague, and the one near will fall by the sword, and the one left and the one preserved will die by famine. And I will complete my fury against them.

And you will know that I am יהוה, when their slain are among their idols, around their altars, on every high hill, on all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak tree—the place where they offered pleasing aroma to all their idols.

And I will stretch out my hand against them, and I will make the land desolate and ruined, from the wilderness of Diblah, in all their dwelling places. And they will know that I am יהוה.
